    Re: Hotpoint WF745A 44182525 Tub/Bearing

you cant use the welded drum cos the sump hose fits to front of tub for a pump with filter at front bottom right.

    Re: wma tub

wma rear halfs are still available, but i used to do about 8 to 10 a week for them now only average 2 a week, bearing replacement is being encouraged and i recieved the tool last week, moulded tubs are gonna be the way forward, the new aqualtis 7.5 kg machine has a moulded tub. bearings are easy to do without tool, bash them out knock them in with a bit more care. i think they are looking at monthly fitting of rear drums to see if it warrants suppling us with more expensive tub rear ..

Re: Hotpoint CTD80 condensing tumble dryer

just had another look on partfinder, there is a red tec bulletin on this dryer , if a heater vwith 2 stats fitted on appliance it must be replaced with a heater kit 1703245 from ser no 507120001 to 511299999 (29/11/2005) or a 1703595 from ser 511300001 (30/11/2005) to date. heater kit comes with stats fitted. hopes this makes sense. thing is if stats are ok that cust fitted it will still be module needed.

its made by smeg, if the pump runs it must be a sock or something in sump hose, take off at tub end and have a look. there is no ball in sump on this model, it has a flap valve set up going by manuel.

Re: Hotpoint CTD80 condensing tumble dryer

before date code 50712 which yours is the heater only has 2 stats one shot and cycling, after dc 50712 they used 3 stats. by the sound of it you will need to fit a module and eeprom. one thing though check condenser these block within about 2 weeks on this piece of sh, sorry i mean this little baby 😆 let me know if need any more info as i franchise for hotpoint, got up to date partfinder.

if it has a module fixed in top rhs looking from front, replace that as it is a sensing module, check that the earthing brush is making contact or not broken. check that condenser is clear, also check that no build up of lint between door panel behind lint filter.. hope this helps .

make sure customer is not taking load out before cycle finished, this also kills stats as no cool down period is alowed.. obvious i know but these women all do it :rolls:

    Re: Hotpoint CTD40 condenser drier.

noise is that it needs conversion from wheels to bearing pads on front ducting, heat problem is prob module and eeprom, if stats have been fitted, i fit complete heater kit as it comes with stats. the early ones of these are poor, slightly better now though. :rolls:
