    Re: CTD00

I’ve replaced a few of the new type interlocks & they do buzz if faulty, theres a little relay inside that acts as a hold on contact after the start button is pressed & provided that the door striker makes contact.

The buzzing had nothing to do with motor start capacitor in my experience though.

    You sure its a W847?
Check model number on inner door.
If it has got wet its possible that carbons are corroded (stuck) in holder, i’d advise you take off motor faceplate & look for corrosio on holders & brushes, clean thoroughly or replace.

There is a service mode where you can check each individual component its too long to post here, if you have e-mail address i can send it to you.

The turbine idea interests me somewhat, but i’d think the wattage you would get out would be quite small. were you gonna use it to charge a battery pack or what had you in mind.
I’d like to hear how you get on, best of luck with the project.

Remember my fellow countrymen at Steorn had an idea of free energy which caused a bit of storm…

Their concept of perpetual motion has not been proven or disproven for that matter yet.

Wasn’t Imperial the commercial/catering equipment side of Miele that they offloaded?
They might still be able to get you parts.

    Re: Hotpoint WF541 Error?

    Mark, welcome aboard.
Going by the fault code you describe you have a F12 fault, lights 1&2 flashing with on/off, this means a communication error between power & display boards.

Disconnect the machine from mains for 5 mins’ to reset & retry.
Check edge connectors on display board.
    Check all contacts.
Check edge connectors on main PCB.
If all this fails then change EEPROM &/or PCB/& or display PCB.

Theres a great Fault Codes Book with all this info available in shop section

Re: Miele Premier 520: 1200rpm Spins on Woollens; Poor Balan

Hi, if you have an issue or think its not going right get them out to look at it.
They will be able to tell if theres a problem or not.
From experience I know that the machine will remember your last setting, so if you set a program, (cottons or delicates) to spin at 400 next time you select same programme it will revert to saved setting.

    Hi Barry,
Have Miele or your supplier sorted out the problem yet, it could be an Electrical wiring problem in the house.
