What model number is it? T5205 T5206? Not sure is it a push button door release type, or pull door? If its the one that operate by push button, usual problems are bad connections on relay at door release circuit board, also check control button board. There should be an electrical circuit diagram included inside every dryer, unless someone has pinched it!

Got this problem recently, spacer washers are included in Hinge Kit Assy, but you can also buy the hinge on its own, or washer on its own! washer Htp’ Part num’ 2600385, i think about £2.30 ea, Electrue code 5031681105406.

Well now i know, yes it is possible, but you need three hands and a little fairy liquid, screw clamp at 10 o’clock on inside, spring type clamp on outside!

Yeah thats the model number, may be an appliance purchased in Irish Republic, we get quite a few oddball types here in N’Ireland, (& thats the appliances i’m talking about).. 😈

ParticipantRe: Bosch Dishwasher Time Fault ?
My reading of this, on most german made machines there is a flow thru type heater used, on economy setting the heater is pulsed on & off continuosly therefore using less electricity (the heater holds temp’) this takes longer to complete programme even though a lower temp’ is selected, this is true on Miele machines (economy programe longer than normal) possibly same on yours.

Had one of these perform in strange ways last year & it took a few visits to get the prob’,, i eventually found a fault at the mains filter, where the supply cable came in ( bad connections) not able to function on full load current but would fill!

Yes the Míele one has a nice optical device that sticks onto the “pc” led at the front of machine, sticks on with a simple sucker device, the machine can then be reprogrammed with updates etc, AEG also to the best of my knowledge use the same system, most of the Míele appliances use digital technology in their machines, the programme selector for instance works optically, there are no moving parts in it, the knob is totally separate from the board!
Also i think the pressure sw’ is a digital device!
The Germans seem to be at the forefront of technology that actually works, you’ll know what i mean if you’ve worked on some of the Far Eastearn stuff,
Anyhows the wonders of technology never cease to amaze me!Seamy

I’ve a Transit at the minute but it’s not a patch on the VW transporter, they’re made of steel!
I learned this when i broke several drill bits trying to fix shelving in one.Seamy
ParticipantRe: Hpt wms38 “door locked flashing”
Yeah Martin the pump is working. I’ve checked that, it will fill, i’ve a plug in ampmeter & i can also see that the heater works, motor turns & spins when you turn to spin etc!

ParticipantRe: LG WM1285 THD washer (direct drive) noisey
I’ve been to look at this machine, there is an excessive noise off it, but the drum bearings sound o.k, no play in drum, no noise from pump, i found the pulley to be kinda wobbly, though not loose & during spin the vibration caused a lot of shaking also the shocks seem to be low & needing replacement,
A few questions my learned friends:-
is the pulley part of motor?
is it easily replaced?
are ther modifications to the machine that will reduce the vibration & noise levels?
I’ll try & contact LG, but i don’t have a spares account with them, do they provide technical advice to trade?Seamy
ParticipantRe: bosch dw
If it’s the same type as the Hotpoint 78?? series, i’d check the hose pipe from bottom of measuring chamber to sump, if the pipe is the corrugated type then they have a tendancy to build up with sludge, causing problems with filling, sometimes won’t allow to fill, other times to overfill, i think from memory the new modified hosepipe is just a black rubber one, hope this is a help, if its a new Bosch d’washer watch out for sticking magnet
( float sw’) in sump of machine, crappy design, very prone to giving water intake problems, hope this is of some help.Seamy
ParticipantRe: HOTPOINT EG95C GRILL SWITCH
Me thinx, those strix type are discontinued & if you order the Hpt’ replacement you get a conversion wiring diagram with new part?

ParticipantRe: Tricity Bendix AW1100w no spin
No problem with pressure system, hose clear, chamber clear, pressure switch is ok, funny thing is this machine is’nt 2 years old yet & only used by a pensioner. The armature was quite black & i cleaned it, brushes are like new (good lenght), but when timer is in spin position it seems to go back & forth o.k, does a distribute, when it builds up to full speed (for a few sec’s) the motor stops, does a distribute again, builds up to full speed stops, does this continueously till timer finishes !
Suspect a duff winding in motor or perhaps a faulty timer, both are gonna be possibly too expensive to repair, just wondering has anyone seen same problem & if it’s something simple to fix, theres gonna be one pleased pensioner out there! -
