    Re: miele kf6445 sn-6 F4 error code

Fault code list covers for ALL Miele appliances…
F4 = NTC temperature sensor-( Freezer evaporator sensor).

There is a Service Mode that can be accessed on these, its not that easy to follow though, PM me if you need it & i can e-mail you it, otherwise try this…

    Check sensor resistance value

    Temp’ °C Res'(kΩ)
    +35 = 3
    +30 = 3.8
    +25 = 4.7
    +20 = 5.8
    +15 = 7.3
    +10 = 9.3
    +5 = 11.9
    0 = 15.3
    -10 = 25.8
    -15 = 34
    -20 = 45.3
    -25 = 60.7
    -30 = 82.3
    -35 = 112.7
    -40 = 156

If that doesn’t cure it get back me & i’ll try to take you through some checks. I’d have gone for faulty on/off switch from experience but hope its door interlock switch.

    Re: Miele Revolution 700

Problem I get most with these is the temp’ switch activated, if temperature at motor exceeds 97 degrees appliance shuts off until temperature drops again.
This can be due to filters clogged or hose blockage.. etc causing motor to overheat.
Another problem to look or is the already mentioned cable break (not as common).
Printed circuit boards on motor have been known to suffer from dry joints also which can cause problems. (Normally on TOC solder points) 😉
If the hose is “parked” on back of cleaner, theres a switch there that cuts out power also, these can stick sometimes too.

As always with anything thats causing on/off power problems REMOVE PLUG FROM SOCKET while attempting repairs.

    Just a few queries..
1..Can we use UK Whitegoods logo’s on our livery & stationary or have we to get permission from someone & if so from whom?
2.. Where are the UK Whitegoods Polo shirts in shop, I couldn’t see them.

Remove the screw caps from plinth..
    Remove plinth fixing screws..
Slide plinth slightly to left to unclip & remove it..

Yeah check for water ingress into PTC, i’ve taken them out & dried them with hairdryer & smeared with silicone sealent & refitted, worked ok for me, but a replacement may be needed! They give problems on all the refrigeration range.

    Re: wma tub

What I meant is that its hard to determine before stripping machine whether its gonna need just bearings, or a back half of drum & spider + heater. If it needs all these parts then its cheaper for customer to use 5year parts warranty off Hotpoint & pay them for labour.

    Re: wma tub

I’ve a FEW10 Vogue 3 Cold Fill to do a bearing job on a 3 year old machine, its a tough call to decide whether to change bearings or decide if its gonna be cheaper for customer to get Hotpoint to replace half drum.
    Any ideas?

Much the same as Hotpoint 95s, front plate comes off.. Be careful when taking off frontplate that you don’t misplace heater support clip & on reassembling be sure heater is in support correctly.

    Re: creda cooker problems

From memory on most Creda cookers & ovens theres a stat mounted on the top behind the controls its normally open contact, its a low temp’ cut in at approx 40-50C & runs cooling fan until temp is returned to below setpoint even after switch (for grill/top oven etc) is off.
