Check wattage is same on new element as was on old one. Also look for bad connections, check voltage at element.

See other POSTING on here on same model, its likely caused by a slipping belt or a door gasket rubbing on drum. Imbalance detected by module & aborts spinning.

If its the model with load sensor on suspension leg check that for fault. i had a miele give problem that caused facia surround light to flash. load sensor was faulty.

Just chatted to another Miele engineer & he says it sounds like a ribbon cable fault, check the ribbons on control board. Edge connections on board may need dab of solder with iron, thats his advice.

Baron, i kinda have difficulty understanding your reply.

“Then customer doesn’t have to close the door to wash….. “
Machine obviously shouldn’t do this even if door is closed
“How he knows when program is finished when programmer goes around continuously…. POWER ON when sleeps… “
It doesn’t stop at finish, it will continue all day & night unless power is isolated at wall..

Just to clarify the customer found a strange noise coming from her washing machine in the middle of the night. The door is open & programme controller is going around all the time. Even if she closes door & puts it to finished position it still goes around like mad & won’t stop till it is isolated at wall.

Sorry my laptop is in for repair at the minute & i’ve all my technical info on there.
Sounds as if the control knob could be either broken or out of position.
I don’t know if this machine has a demonsration mode on it?
Some of the newer ones go through that sequence of flashing through all the options but only if set in demo mode as in a showroom.
You might wanna give Miele Tech guys a bell, they’re quite well informed & helpful.

Two things spring to mind, was the element put in the same wattage as the one replaced if not it mightened heat up as quickly, secondly even though the fan is running it not be running as fast as it should due to dry bearings or something. Just a thought.
I recommend a thermocouple connected to your multimeter or a themperature meter . make sure you allow for a tolerance of about 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. If you set temp for 200 ,, expect anything from 180- 220..

I’ve had quite a few of these to be NTC faults

She said its showing — two dashes and alarm sounding. When she resets alarm it will go for a while & show -18 and 5c. But will alarm again after a few hours.

I advised her to contact Whirlpool for repairs as i don’t do Refrig’ work, just fit the odd t’stat.

Also check for water in bottom (floor) making float switch. Could be something stuck in non-return valve at pump. These are the most likely culprits.
