Re: How do dishwasher dry cycles work?

Some Miele dishwashers have an ectractor fan in the door to assist drying, the newer ones have a system of a heat exchanger where hot air is passed over cold to condense steam, you will see in these machines the fans have two impellors. Sometimes when cstomer opens door at end of cycle they see droplets on one side of dishwasher only & think its a fault, but this is just below duct of heat exchanger & is normal for this type of drying.

Shouldn’t do, i find a problem that has arose a few times in Mieles is the little PCB board behind the start button is corroded & bad connections, look for leak at soap drawer or door gasket, sometimes water gets onto PCB causing door operation problems. The door can be opened mechanically by a pull lever located in filter compartment, motor fault is usually brushes. Take care to insert them correctly & make sure you’ve released them before trying motor.

    Re: cooker cutting out

Dopper, is the COOLING FAN running, not the circulation fan inside the oven?
I’ve found that if the cooling fan fails or is running slowly this fault will occur! There is a stat (no) that comes in when cavity gets to a certain temp it will keep fan running on for a while until temp falls again. If fan doesn’t come on there is (normally) a high temp cutout that cuts off , to prevent fire.

Re: Miele novatronic W149 washing machine

Its a top-loader i take it, i havent worked on any of them. I am going for a Miele course next week & can ask when i’m there. Any fault code showing up? Lets hope you haven’t to change the power board as its over £300.
I’ve had a lot of problems with the new front loaders doing this, the problem is sometimes the low-voltage lamp in the door gasket. Theres a locating pin in it & a little switch, if lamp moves or breaks it stops machine working, this has caused headaches for engineers as its the last thing you’d think of, but its one to look out for in future.

Re: Any washing machines that work with low water pressure?

On a Miele you can set different parameters in the programmes, set different water levels, change time of fill, although i’ve had problems with borehole supplies in that the water is quite dirty, the dispensers collect gunge every year os so. I work with a lot of clients that have private borehole pumps, some of my work is in rural Ireland & there isn’t always mains water supply.
One thing i would recommend is that the customer fits a pressure vessel on the water system & a filter. This should ensure that water is not blocking up dispenser & inlet filters & that they have decent pressure. I see from your post that the client has a tank in the attic this should give a head of pressure depending on how high it is above machine & how much water is in tank!

    Re: neff oven

Neff ovens are notorious for this weak hinge problem, i’ve done quite a few, i always replace the hinges & carriers. Easy Job.
I think it may be caused by customer leaving/resting heavy roasting tins (turkey) on door when its open.

Think the part described will do this, it secures top spray arm in position & allows water to pass through down to middle spray arm, funnel on middle spray arm is part # 3519600 if needed.

Re: Hotpoint WF100P Mini Load & On/Off flashes

Yes i have, but this does’nt tell me what Mini Load neon flashing means!
I have got minimal info off customer as she is elderly, i tryed to ask her which neon is flashing (from left to right) she says theres 11 lights on it altogether, says led flashing is 4th down from top Mini Load + On/Off.

Kinda wanted to know what to bring before going out to job.
Anyone know which neon MiniLoad is, 1st, 2nd 3rd ETC??
I presume it MAY be Fault F01 LED4 Motor Triac Fault? Doess this mean a board replacement?

    Thanx

Motor (complete unit) listed for that machine is Part Num’ 4998104 @ £187.40 +v.a.t off Miele

The pump section is available as a separate, Part num’ 5100732 @£43.66,
but i believe the seal you need is @ the motor bearing?
correct me if i’m wrong, seal where pump pushes onto sump of machine is also available

    hope this helps

Re: MIELE G522 DISHWASHER MAINS SUPPRESSOR

    You need one with 0.5uF + 2 X 0.015uF.

Using the wrong one can cause interferance or spikes which can sometimes cause problems with machines electronics.

Re: miele dish, hose most not be vertical ?

Never heard of this either & we are Miele service agents, i know that the aqua-stop device is made up of 2 soleniods valves in series, if something like grit sticks in one other solenoid should close off etc. I would have thought that water pressure should travel through hose whether it is upside down or not!
