Filters, filters and filters, good hoovering normally brings them back to life. Just be aware they can take 3 hours to dry a full load.

Power off when doing any testing!

If you take off the evap’ cover you can see defrost heater and any other components that you wish to examine.

Small wiring sometimes breaks in loom at bottom of door, fine wires to NTC & water counter are particular problematic, hard to see the damage, but a little tug will prove the break.

    see similar prob’ here…

Check loom for breakages of tiny thin cables, they are prone to damage, not always visible but a tiny tug on them will reveal the breakage.

P.C.B possibly faulty. They do give problems, mostly from steam condensing on board, likely caused by poor fitting of door.

Re: BEKO CDA556FW – Need advice. Fridge is freezing

I think that theres a thermistor embedded in the fridge rear wall, if it fails the appliance reverts to timed cooling instead.

Defrost timing is incorporated in software of rear p.c.b as far as I know.

Early ones had defrost timer located near compressor.

Its likely if there is a patch appearing that either the gas is low & struggling to cool all the back wall of fridge therefore not getting cold enough to switch off or there could be a breakdown in insulation.

No internal fuse as far as i’m aware. Normally element replacement would be all you need, but sometimes a blown element takes out trip or fuse. Have you checked house fuseboard, is there power to theactual oven?

Good on ya, I never go down to component level, but i’d imagine its a triac that is shorted, not definite though as i’ve never tested any of them.

Take a look at the non return valvein sump, if non return valve is stuck it won’t drain.
