Is there a special tool to get the hose clip from circulation hose near the heater duct at the front near door boot back on or do you just fit a small jubilee clip ❓ Managed to get it off using screwdriver but what a pain trying to clip it back on 👿 Not the best clips zanussi used !

My guess is that the heater has been on with no water in the drum.

Unless you isolate the reason for this I wouldn’t bother fixing the hole. 😥

It might be better to wait until tomorrow when one or two of the Zanussi experts have had a look. 😉

Jim.Yep would agree with heater coming on as there was quite a bit of blockage in the system , it’s only a little hole in the tub 😀

Only joking about the hole been little and yes i seen the bit near to the left as well …

Gonna come clean fellas ,i already have a rear tub comin from the recycling centre near me …got to know one of the lads there and got this sorted ..I am not that stupid to fix a hole like this when heater damaged it ..Sorry for my weird sense of humour ( thought of super glue ,that ones for the guys who know me 😉 )

Just thought i’d put this up to show what damage can happen when heater comes on..I put it in wrong place but did not know how to put it in the ” a picture says a thousand words ” thread once i had posted it here 😳

Ps if anyone can put it in the appropriate thread it would be appreciated 😀

My money is on a shooooshed up U bend TBH. Martin is correct with u- bend .. This was one of my suspicions after i checked outlet hose and swapped in a pump i had with me. This pump now is running quieter like it used to . so jobs a good un as they say.

Just like to add i cleaned out u bend ,did not do this first off as it did sound like a blockage to me either pump or outlet hose. Then u-bend was next on my list to check.Cheers …

    Re: customer wants money back!!!

    suedehead1,

The trouble is if you do pay the money back ,whats to say they don’t pass it on to friends etc that you are an easy touch so to speak and they will get a job done for nothing.

If you do feel a little intimidated you could always call in to your local police station and make them aware of the threat ! I would not give them the satisfaction of thinking they can make threats and get away with it.Maybe they have done this before and think they can have an easy ride by not wanting to pay for a repair?

You have done your job properly and you deserved to be paid without being hassled by some mouth piece that thinks they can decide to change there mind after you had fixed her husbands cock up.

Bang on the money there Martin i never go anywhere without my meggar and loop tester if checking an appliance .This was one thing Graham Dixon always drummed (pardon the pun) in to us on his training course.

I have read many threads where an insulation test has not been done. It’s a “MUST ” to carry one and to do to help fault finding.

I always use meggar when testing motors and heaters ..had heater not too long ago pass on resistance test but failed when i checked for insulation .Worth a shot while you are there .
