ParticipantRe: TV repair!
Over the past 25years have had only two Sony crt’s, second one still going strong with great picture hooked up to a topfield digi box.
Won’t buy one of these flat panel thingy’s until I have to.
A shop I do work for always has these flat panels in for repair or BER and not very old either.

ParticipantRe: Miele WT945 heating element
Hi, see you posted on the 24th Sept, sorry you have not had a reply yet.
Miele are very specialist machines and this will be why you have not had a response as yet. If nothing is forthcoming you may wish to proceed with the DIY approach or you may have to call Miele.

ParticipantRe: Who is responsable
Hi Brian,
Had same problem with a Bosch/DAD, took four months before DAD came and picked up machine from my store and then a refund.During the four months, was passed between DAD/Bosch and various departments. Bosch have to issue DAD a returns number which then assures DAD that they will get a credit which then assures you/me will get a credit.
It did seem that DAD were not sure of the procedure but I did take this up with my local rep who was helpfull, if you’ve got one sugest you give him a call.

Yeh carbons should be replaced, you can get the carbons from this site, just look to the left of the page for Spare Parts and click on Washing Machines.
The motor has to come off via 2 x 10mm bolts and note how the old one comes out re the angle of the carbon

ParticipantRe: Bosch Classixx 1400 Express washing machine won,t spin
Hi Stew,
Your machine is about 3 years and 5 months old and depending on how often it is on this can still be a carbon brush problem.First check the filter at the bottom right handside of the machine, if this is gunged up it will prohibit at times the spin mode.
Other than that, you would want to check the motor with power off.
