Re: HPT BF12P integrated dishwasher: no spring tension on do

Customer now says that you repaired my dishwasher. It has smoke coming out of it. Wont empty. And it wont turn off.
Went round on off switch not controlling power light. Meggered found direct conn live and chassis fuse not gone. Low insulation heater, drain pump melted and on off switch perfect.
Whilst i was there in 2004 “Electrician” putting in latest consumer unit as i commented on the old fusebox with no RCD. Seemingly charged him 200 quid to fit 5 or 6 breakers that plug into fusebox and insulation tape over the last one that had no fuse fitted or carrier (exposed Bar). 🙄
He did cut the hole in the fuse box cover lid though.
And theres me worried i had done something wrong.
Will plug in socket RCD protector still work if there is an earth conn missing?

    Re: Tricity Bendix DHo86 Overrun

You could try cleaning the slime/ gunge out of the little blue tubes housed under the dome (screw in top) if you lift out the filter assembly. The lump can be seen under the lower wash arm. Remember how they came out!

No brown overheated melted pin marks and plug is in socket in cupboard away from rear of dishwasher. Stripped checked plug but did not remove socket top though.

Huge BKT 27 it was. Unfortunately shaft has a groove in it where the wiper on the front of the seal runs. And the lady rang me before bearing collapse! 🙁

    Thanks all

Are there o rings at the end of the tubes? Have found previous repairer has wrapped ptfe tape around ends.
