oh jaysus , i connected the hob up today to my own supply and guess what its locked out , it has an L on all the ring displays , so i held down the + and – as it sayes in the manual and hey presto all is well , just incompetence really , that just cost the customer 185 euro !

i rang customer and he said he bought a new one , but rang back to ask if i could wire it ! , so i have the hob in the back o the van see if i can sort it next week thanks for all the help guys

duude ‘s, i was wondering about the connections in the back of the timeclock , i see this clock only controls the main oven , have you ever bridged out the relay switch to make the oven operate , obviously telling the customer the timer fuction will be out of action and will this mod be satisfactory ? thanks for the pdf’s fellers

LMTGOWI its only a little gig i have on the side , the money is in movies i’m tellin ya you just need to be creative , i’m startin with appliances cause they are so hard to manipulate , if you can get a broken machine to do what you want then you can do just about anything, thanks for the help anyways

i was talking to the customer and she said it was skipping the programs and it wouldnt do a 90 deg wash ,

ok so no change , freezer is now on -21 and its cold ,but its not -21 definitely colder at the bottom than the top and the evap fan is not kicking in anyone know when and how often the evap fan runs for i tried to get a continuity reading from the fan wires but i got nothing same as when the meter was idle

same as before it was turned off , -18 freezer 4 fridge , fan works fine had a look around the back , i take it this is the fan you are talking about ? or is there another in the evaporator , i took off the freezer interior panel to expose the evaporator and there is a block of ice at the top of the evap coils so i’ll let it defrost for 36 hours and see if that helps

i’m 90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure it was all through the compartment , in fact its colder at the top of the compartment just checked with the customer

cheers seamy i had the brushes off about 5 mm left from the end of the brush to the end of the holder , i gave the armature a bit of a rub so hopefully all is well tomorrow

have you checked the drum bearings ? grab the drum 12 o clock and 6 o clock position s and see if there is play in it any movement up and down here and its bearings , other than that if the clothes are wet its not getting rid of the water during the spin , check the filter isnt blocked or drain hose kinked and check the suspension arms at the bottom of the drum are ok and the springs at the top are ok also turn off power and unplug machine before attempting investigations

turns out the washer is only 18 months old ha , customer wanted to get it fixed under warranty , i left it in her garage over christmas ,tub on the ground , and the whirlpool tech said he would swing by in the new year at a cost of 50 quid (under warranty) ? he arrived yesterday put in the new tub and left the washer in the garage ??? no connecting it up to see if all was well , no i’ll just bring that inside for you and connect it up ? what kind of service do these guys provide? so customer calls me and asks if i will hook it up to water and leccy , so half hour later all installed again turn on power and bang !! tripped mcb , so i reset breaker and no power in m/c , crazy stuff !
