that sounds right wish they had hit it a bit harder then i could see some damage !!, power coming from the board to the motor checked the switches front and side ok , drum spinning freely , gonna check capacitor and motor relay now , any other ideas guys thanks

i can hear the pump whirring and like a grinding noise very faint , i took off the door skin and the bottom plinth to gain access to the pump , twisted it off and i found a little piece of plastic spoon jammed behind the impeller , nice one put eveything back together and all is well , thanks for the help

power to motor , motor brushes , belt ok , pump ok ,as in it will drain on a drain cycle

i had it apart earlier i cleaned all of the components , still not pumping out must be a pump problem i hear it humming at the start of the cycle only for 8 or 10 seconds then it starts taking water , and never pumps it out are these hard to replace thanks

i checked the switch its a mechanical one with metal strip contacts , continuity when switched on and none when its off cant test it for anything else really , thermostat is behind that has power going to it and coming out the other side but the wire leading to one side of the fan from the stat is not carrying any current

thanks Martin , i have a pic of it on the public forums , its not that dirty i had the exchanger off and had a look at the manifold that houses the antiflood float do you mean further down into the sump?

anywho more laughs with the dishwasher , its stuck on 22 mins left and it wont finish a cycle there is always water in the wash compartment and everything is really greasy , baskets , spray arms filters . I took off L/h side panel and i noticed the anti flood switch arrowed and the pressure chamber switch blue lever arrowed rising and falling quickly when the water is being pumped around causing it to stop and start rapidly , also the heat exchanger is full up to the top , there is no water in the bottom tray to cause the system to activate I have included photo of the offending part thanks

Participantok removed the pcb today and there is a bit of a black track along one of the silver connections on the back and the corresponding chip is fairly black my finger was black when i touched it , so i’m going to try a module
