    yep, that’s how I do it , mind you I’m suffering with sciatica at the mo ‘ so every job is taking a good bit longer than usual.
    The freestanding is the same.

    easy to change! how long does it take then- total strip down job innit’, 2-2 1/2 hours ?

    Ok Jem, will try the qualtex version, any tips on fitting the condenser belts or is it a case of
    blood sweat & tears.

    A few years ago I used Qualtex, Masterpart and Connect in about the same proportions. Now with Connect hiding there part numbers and Masterpart having nothing in stock its virtually all Qualtex for me. 🙁

    Thanks Martin,
    “Hoover” – bleedin’ cost cutting cheapskates.
    Have found the Bosch locks (look similar) tabs will snap off – if you’re not careful.

    got lock today,
    the old one fits with 2 screws, this one has locking tabs – is it a straight swap or do i need to
    drill out fixing holes.
    thanks for any advice given.
