thanks for your feedback chaps, I think this is the way to go, as how many times do you go to customers now who say “dont use cheques these days”, then cant find the cheque book – May also increase your credability as a well organised company keeping up with modern technology. Just my take on it anyway. I will double check usage charges though- thanks.

    hi
possibly motor impellor split, you’ll hear the motor whirring but no pressure at spray arms. have a look at motor.

bosch spares from Connect are well over the top also , since bosch have introduced online accounts (pay by card) its cheaper to get them direct .
`Bypass connect and go direct`- hey that rhymes!! i,m in the wrong business.

    Re: Dealing With “Call Backs”

Just had a bosch dishwasher module fail that i fitted in may 08. Looking back at my records i ordered it from bosch, who as far as im aware dont give guarantees on parts supplied. At £90 this hurts, but i guarantee my work for 12 months so i have to take loss.
Just wondering, after reading that Wilf gives 6 months on modules, am i generous in giving 12 months – isn’t this the norm?
Do any other engineers out there give shorter guarantees on electronic parts and how do you word these terms of guarantee on invoice?

    Re: Acount problems connect

never heard of £400 limit either, i use connect most of the time with very few problems.
As for Maddocks, their website is poor,(genuine parts – forget it ) and if you dont buy parts every month, they remove your access to their website, so not very engineer friendly!!

thanks for info guys, will try access through sump hose as helo75 says,
reminds me of the early AEG 2000 range where they were held on by 3 screws,
removing 3 hoses would give you access.

Re: Pattern Heaters: A cautionary tale 🙁

going back to original post-just to let you guys know- bosch element 265961 can be replaced by zanussi 1321020214 , 150 watt lower but hey, it works.(used many times), just change the ntc though!
also the zanussi is 16.96 trade as oppossed to 36.92 trade for the gen bosch (connect prices mind) thats £20.00 difference and youre still using genuine parts.
agree with goatboy, always use genuine.
