After removing the 2 clips from behind the facia, lift off the cabinet.
    remove agitator
    remove pump
    remove motor
3 bolts and gearbox will slide out
drive clutch is held on to top of gearbox by a spring clip
assemble in reverse order, and have fun.

From the symptoms you describe, it sounds like the drive clutch slipping. Easy to replace p/n 481969018152

I had the same fault on an older built in Whirlpool D/W. It was the cold tap turned off. So I would check the tap and cold valve.

If the water still squirts out of the hose but not the bottom, then its probably blocked in the heater. Quite a common fault.

Go for a commercial MAYTAG 10 Kg dryer. Built like a tank, but easy to repair.

    Update

Got called back for no spin. I changed the drive clutch and brake lever (white pointy bit of plastic) and all is well.

    Thanks for all the replies

The relay is available from masterpart for £19 + p&p + vat. But the miser customer wanted it done for next to nothing.

I always use standard cleaner flex off a roll, and have never had a problem with it. However if you are unsure on its suitability, then fit a genuine plug and lead. p/n 5031689232524, £15.29 from electrue

After removing the 6 screws, unscrew the clear plastic dome of the flow indicator, and the top cover should lift off. when you put it back together dont forget to make sure the smart valve piston is located properly. I wish you luck
