Hi: I’m sorry but we don’t provide any information on repairing Microwaves, your safest bet would be to call a local engineer to look at it for you.

Hi: Without actually being able to test the oven it’s difficult to say, I would have thought the top element should work along with the bottom element when in oven mode so you get uniform heating. It’s possible that you have a control faulty but without testing the unit it’s impossible to say for sure. It might be an idea for you to contact a local engineer to check it out for you, if you click on the link above your 1st post you should be able to find an approved engineer in your area.

Hi Yucca: What Martin says is right, with Bosch especially the only safe way to go is with the Genuine part. Just think about after market brushes for a moment & why they’re so much cheaper than the genuine ? I use Pattern parts for many repairs at customers request, but never motor brushes. I’ve had them overheat, chip & arc for example & this can cause further problems.

Hi Garry: I believe on this 1 you get at the element by removing the back panel.

Ok: 1 thing you can do is check in the cupboard either side of the oven to check if the oven is connected via a plug or fused connection unit. If it is then check the fuse either by replacement or with a Multimeter to see if it’s good, if you don’t find the problem then i’m afraid it’s time for an Engineer. If you do need an engineer, take a look at the page above your 1st post & click on the link. You should be able to find an approved engineer in your area.

Is there a light inside the oven ?

ParticipantRe: whirlpool 2000 model G2P61F/SS oven
If the hob is working then in theory you have power to the oven as well, if there’s a Digital display or an oven light then if you’ve got power to the oven they should be lit.
You may want to consider calling a local engineer to look at it for you.Specialist01269
