Hi Luke: Yes mate, you need to get the Landlord to call an Engineer. The lights flashing are a fault code.

Hi: Unfortunately it could be due to 1 of a number of things. Without being able to test the unit my best advice would be to call a local engineer to look at it for you.

Hi: It’s possible that you have a loose Neutral connection on your under cupboard lights or it could be as simple as bad connections causing the bulbs to blow, the other thing is that nowadays there are a lot of poorly made bulbs on the market & they don’t last long at all. Since you replaced the bulb in your oven & it blew, have you tried another replacement ? & if so what happened. Do you have problems with other bulbs etc blowing regularly apart from in the kitchen ?

Hi: Going on your description of the fault & the error code then the problem is probably a faulty element. The only way to test properly is with a Megger.

Hi: Quickest & most positive way is to remove the Brushes from the motor & check them.

Hi: Can’t remember exactly on this machine but normally removing the back & top will allow access to most parts, if you follow the heater wiring it will lead you to the control module on your machine. Easiest way to check the wiring is to find the Heater plug on the module & with the plug removed check the resistance across the heater wires in the plug, for good wiring the resistance should be within a couple of ohms of the reading you took across the heater. You can check the Thermistor wiring in the same way, when removing the plugs make sure you either mark them before removing or take a good photo of them with a Digital camera.

Hi: The 27R would be about right for the element reading, the reading for the temp sensor is probably right but would depend on the temperature you tested it at.
As for the Service manual i’m afraid your out of luck, we don’t give out service manuals it’s part of the Forum rules. Unfortunately even if you could get hold of the manual it wouldn’t tell you that much anyway, they tend to have very little of any use in them nowadays. Don’t waste your time trying to spray the switch contacts, you may well do more harm than good & depending on the cleaner you use could actually end up causing a fire. Try tracing the wiring from the Heater back to the control PCB & checking for burnt connections / Dry joints, unfortunately you may well find that the Triac or Relay that feeds power to the Heater is blown. Please Remember: Power off & plug out 1st.

Just to finish this off: Thanks to everyone for their suggestions, but Jim was spot on. The filter mesh was totally blocked, I’ve got to admit I completely forgot to check the screen when I installed the replacement element 🙁 . Thanks Jim.

Thank you Jim, your a life saver. Not seen this yet but the owner has apparently tried a DIY repair & removed some wires from the the timer, I’m getting a feeling of Dejavue.

Hi Anik: Have you looked at the controller ? You may find that you’ve got a gad drive relay or Triac on the board or maybe something as simple as a dry joint.
