Hi: Unfortunately due to the nature of Microwaves & the dangers involved in trying to repair them without being trained to do so, we don’t normally give out information on them or parts for them.
Most Microwave spares suppliers will only supply to Trade repairers.

    Re: Bosch Wfr3269gb blocked pump

The filter should come out without too much force, but first make sure there’s no locking screw through the front of the filter (Some manufacturers use them). It’s possible that the filter is being jammed up by something solid inside, if you remove the pump you should be able to clear any obstructions quite easily.

PLEASE REMEMBER: POWER OFF & PLUG OUT, Before opening the machine. A :zap: can seriously shorten your life.

I’m definately with Martin on this, you should contact the housing association & report it to them. The idiot who did the wiring in the old mans house has probably done others for them & they really need to check them all to make sure they’re safe.

Hi Mike: Thanks for the reply, yep I know they rarely go wrong & how to test them. I was asked by a friend who’s looking at 1 what the thermistor value was at room temp etc so posted the query.

Not sure exactly where the control PCB is mounted on this machine. If you look at the motor & follow the wiring harness from it you’ll find the controller at the other end.

From your description of the fault, you may well have a blocked or faulty drain pump.

    Re: White Knight Tumble Dryer

Hi: Your Dryer has an open wound element, it’s quite possible that one part of the element has broken & is touching Earth. You would need to open the machine to check this, if you don’t feel confident in doing this then please take a look at the repairs@ feature for an Engineer in your area.

I’m not defending any opinion, I just asked you to explain your statement that in 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of cases it was an element fault. For example in the last 10 ovens i’ve been called to with no heat, only 4 have had a faulty element.
We advise people to check things first or get someone to check for them in the hope of stopping them buying the wrong parts & wasting money, if you check back through some of the posts you’ll find many occasions where people have bought parts without checking & it has’nt cured the problem, so they’ve wasted they’re money.

Looks like it Kev, just make sure you were using the meter on resistance & not continuity.

unphased wrote:Hi. Whilst Specialist has given sound but cautious advice, really there is little else other than the failed oven element that gives rise to the symptoms described. It is 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain to be the cause.

Couple of points: She was’nt asking us to diagnose a fault, she wanted to know how much it would cost. We can’t tell her that because all engineers set their own price.

When you say it’s 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain that the element has gone as there’s little else to go wrong, please explain. Repairing cookers is part of my daily job & we regularly find other things causing no heat on different ovens.

First things first, just try re-seating all the connectors to the PCB & Motor to see what happens, you may get lucky & this will cure the fault.

Hi: You may need to take a deep breath 🙂 PCB is between £110.00 – £140.00 + VAT / Carriage.
If you were to remove the PCB yourself & send it to 1 of your friends to test it would be a lot cheaper, suitable Triacs are available from http://www.cpc.co.uk or http://www.rscomponents.co.uk.
