Hi: Could be 1 of several problems, but Microwaves have lethal voltages inside even when turned off & unplugged. 😯 😯
Please leave the repair to a qualified Engineer with the proper equipment & safety training.

Hi: Sorry I didn’t get back to you but i’ve been away from the site for a few days, while I applaud your repairing your machine. I have to say that this can by no means be classed as safe, you should have used a 13amp Water sealed connector for Safety. Glad to see that you made sure the Earth was re-connected, what you refer to as a Capacitor at the input is in fact an interference filter.

    All the best: Andy. 8)

Can’t argue with that Spimps, excellent quality kit. Another upside is that they are usualy not that to hard to fix if they do go wrong. 8)

Please Peeps: Help me out here, I am Andy’s (specialist 01269) Nephew / Apprentice / Gofer & asked Andy about this, he told me to look it up on the internet as it would help me learn how to find information but I couldn’t find the info so thought I would ask you guys.

    Thanks: Mark 😕

Just a thought, did you change the cap from the duff motor onto the new one? or did you fit a new cap with the motor.

Re: BEKO WMA510W – making loud noises

Hi: It is perfectly possible that you drum bearings are gone, if you remove the drive belt & turn the drum by hand you should be able to hear a noisy bearing, also if you gently rock the drum up & down you may well feel movement.
Changing the bearings may be possible for a DIYer with the right tools, but be warned it can be a pain & very messy.

If you contact the UKWG shop they may well be able to source the bearing for you at a good price.
If you don’t feel confident tackling the job, please see repairs@ for an Engineer local to you.

PLEASE REMEMBER POWER OFF & PLUG OUT IF OPENING THE MACHINE.

Could be 1 of a number of things: Motor, Electronics, Drive Belt etc.

If you are not confident in your ability to carry out repairs please see the repairs@ link for an Engineer local to you.
If you are going to do it yourself any parts you need can be obtained from the shop@ link

PLEASE REMEMBER POWER OFF & PLUG OUT BEFORE OPENING.

Yep: That was when things were made for quality & not down to a price, you won’t see most of todays stuff lasting 6 years let alone 60 🙁 they call what we have today progress, I know what I call it but the Mods would probably give me an ear bashing if I wrote that 😆

OK let me know tomorrow & we will go from there, I dont think the blocks are still available but we can use a universal connector.
Just 2 things: Are you confident in doing DIY Electrical repairs if your told how? & Have you got a Multimeter?

Mine does that too, but will never admit it 😆 As you said certainly looks like the bearing is shot, good luck with the repair.
