Re: Water pooling in freezer – but where’s the drain?

There is a false back in the freezer behind which is the gutter and drain hole.Back panel may have only a couple of screws if it’s an LG,usually 3 lugs down each side of the back panel which you have to release with a 1/4 inch flat screwdriver and then edge forward, usually quite tight.
Then defrost with a hair dryer, don’t use any sharp metal instruments to break up ice just patience.
    Switch off and unplug first.

Re: Electrolux ER8126B – how to fit new stat?

Presuming it’s a mechanical stat and not an electronic version.
tep by step& one by one as far as connections go.
The sensing phial is a tube and does not like being sharply bent, especially if you try and straighten it out after bending it,it quite easily breaks so gentle hands and easy bends.

Pleased that came up,are we OK without part p etc to connect cookers.can’t give them a certificate which council properties or warden controlled flats might require.

Only use it to compare prices,so I’m not selling parts too cheaply.

Always try to use it,pressure test with it for leaks and use it for triple evacuation. Also prevents oxidisation on internal pipeworks, some pot’s which have failed U/G have been returned as failed claims because of copper oxide(black scale) sediment in compressor when OFN hasn’t been used.mostly do small commercial stuff but do use it on domestic too.
Not that dear if you are using it a couple of time a week and is factored in to process charge plus handy for blowing out condensers.
Did my full F gas last year and you have to pressure test with nitrogen as part of the course/test.
It’s not written in stone that it must be used but is worded something like under health and safety the risk assesment must ensure all necessary safety precautions have been taken.
Probably wouldn’t be a problemnot using it until health and Safety were involved.

    Re: Hotpoint FFM70 fridge/freezer problems

The solenoid on the valve can fail, plus sometimes the valve can jam internally.
Is there still the correct charge in the system?could be a reason but you will need an engineer with gauges for this.
Think the valve is normally shut until the sensor demands cooling in the fridge. Most trade guys would have a circular magnet to drop over the solenoid shaft with the coil removed to check if it is mechanically OK.

Re: LG frost free fridge developed a smell

Make sure there has been no visible spillage in the bottom of fridge or frezzer.
Wash out both cabinets with bicarbonate of soda in warm water.
Also check at the back, there will be a tray either on top of the motor or near it which evaporates the condensate water which can become smelly.Clean out tray and disenfect with the bacarb solution.

Paddy went to night school to try and improve his language and speech.
After a few lessons the teacher asked him to make up a sentence with the word Donkey in it:
Paddy says “I went to the market and bought a donkey jacket”
very good said the teacher, now add fur into the same sentence:
Paddy said” I went to the market and bought a fur lined donkey jacket:
Excellent she said, bit harder now so add fascinate into the sentence:
Paddy said “I went to the market and bought a fur lined donkey jacket,it had nine button but I could only fasten eight ” 😯
