    Re: Lok Ring

Have used the lokring quite alot and it is OK take your time and check all fits well before clamping up,expensive but best to practice a few connections before doing it under pressure. When it’s built in you can easily add on to cover cost. Masterpart usually have the top up fittings.
Prefer brazing when I can if I can”t do the fidge back at base.

Fill it with salt so that the salt is up to the rim.

One will be a thermal cut out and a second wouls possibly be a cut in type to power the internal cooling fan (roller type),UNPLUG first,I would get some new connectors and replace, sometimes the cut outs develope poor connections over time and the melted cover would indicate that.Element would need a meter to check but if the cut out connectors have any movement on the body of the cut out itself I would change the cut out.

There are models listed from 016704 to 016708 so it could be any of those, perhaps if you call Ariston an understanding spares clerk might try and match the mod to the serial no.
The other option is to slide the machine forward and check on the casing for the info, unless of course you can find the paperwork from purchase or installation which will help.

For me the most important items are the salt and rinse aid,you can then get good results with own brand tablets although finish etc will be the best.
The salt protects the mechanical side of the machine as well as ensuring you get a good finish on the crocks, rinse aid gives the sparkle to the glasses without any streaks
Ifa machine is looked after well ie salted regularly it ill always look like new and glasses etc will be the same.

    Re: Powdery limescale type substance

Start using salt and conditioner straight away, things should improve after 5 washes or so.Go back to your instructions and check how to set up your water softener on your machine for your area hardness. When you fill up with granular salt(not table) it will take a pint and a half every 2 to weeks.
You could use a dishwasher descaler available at most supermarkets to help things along but forget these 3 in one they are pretty useless and whilst giving a poor wash they are also ageing your machine a little too quickly 🙁 .
Some glasses get beyond redemption by the way.

You will ned the serial number too which we couldn’t give you and will only be on the cooker.
The model and serial numbers are found when opening usually the bottom door and are on a plater around the edge of the inner face of the cooker,it’s there somewhere 🙂 it may only be 20x60mill.
Failing that release the cooker by taking out the 4 or 6 screws which fasten it to the cupboard surround and slide it forward and there will be a plate on the carcase with the details on.

Think this is the same as the Bosch with the same model no.
If the fridge door handle is either at the bottom left or bottom right of the door it is held on by two screws underneath ,think there will be a decor strip covering the whole width of the door hiding the screws which will have to be gently prized away to reveal the screws.
If you look at the top of the freezer door it will be the same but will be underneath the fridge door.
    Hope that’s the right one.

    AL10=
    Check heater
    Check heater cut out
Check pressure switch connections 11-14 heater supplied via these
check wiring and connections between module, pressure switch and heater if yopu have supply through heater it could be the relay on module.
Make sure all filters are clean as there is a sensor which will operate if they are blocked, supposed to be self cleaning 😕
Plus give all connections onto the module a tweek and the thermistor one too.
