Thanks,I’m a very occasional domestic seller, not my cup of tea.
I’ll look into it and have to see if I stop selling altogether,I’m also considering knocking the domestic(refrigeration apart) side on the head altogether in the next year or so.
Cheers

UNPLUGGED? double check.
that is the resin that filters the hardness out of thwe water, the brine solution then regularly back washes it so it is always able to clean incoming water.
Does the HW mean you have it plumbed into hot water, check your instructions, nearly all DW’s should be on cold fill, you may therefore not have sufficient pressure or you could have the filter blocked on the mains supply, take supply pipe off and check for residue and remember UNPLUG first .
Service manuals are designed for folks with knowledge ie engineers so be very careful in what you attempt, keep well within your limits.

Whilst aware of some aspects what is the responsibilty as far as we are concerned.
had a look at the reg’s but lost the will to live after 10 or more pages clarifying desriptions of meanings etc.
Quick guide anywhere please?May 10, 2009 at 7:05 am in reply to: IKEA Whirlpool oven number 857916015511-any help appreciated #286264spimps

Can’t find that exact model although thats not unusual, they sometimes get missed off.
You should have flashing symbols at the very least on the clock display, the clock would need setting to enable oven to work.
If you have no power at the clock it may be a fault with the terminal block on the appliance which supplies the clock.
Unless you are competent I would sugggest an engineer is caslled in.
Switch off before attempting any inspection or repairsspimps

Twice had d/w’s that were built in then ceramic tiled up to so no getting them out. One decided to have the tiles up and i then fixed it the other one the owner went in the garage and got a crow bar and lifted the whole jewson lot up,I —- myself but nothing broke. 😯
How long have you being doing this ? whaaatt I reply John Cleese style, few minutes silence followed by “can I get you a cup of tea?”.
There used to be a traing video we were shown at Lux which was made by a John Cleese company,John Cleese was ranting about as the engineer showing how not to behave in a customers house 😀
Trick is to spot the big problems early ,make your exscuses and leave 😉spimps

Hi Spimps.that appliance has a drop hole under both fridge and freezer evaporators (the defrost drain hole) where the r600a a would be quicky dispersed by the condenser fan on the rear. so we all wait to find out the cause of the true fault.
ps its hard to put a drop hole in a boat 😆 .

Is this an American side by side type? that must be the drain hole that water doesn’t want to go down.Problem is the fan tubulence would mix the 600 with the air quite nicely, turbo fan assisted 😀 😯
Lots of if’s and buts,we will as you say haveto wait and see.
The boats had to have a metal sump tray under their gas appliances with a drain off hole to outside, the gas therefore didn’t drop into the bilge as it were.
Then some went to dc voltage compressors. An expansion rate of a compressed gas can be somewhere around 200 to 1 which, with a charge of say 100gms when some of it escapes and expands would be more than enough with the help of the evaporator fan mixing it up to fill the freezer with a flammable mixture.
It wouldn’t escape as the drain hole diameter off 1/4″ wouldn’t be any good,2″ dia hole might do the trick but can’t do that in a freezer.
Interesting times 😕spimps

basically its just had it… customer wants to put something in thats quietercheers ally
Why not try somebody like Hawco or SRW if you give them the condenser duty/size they will match up a replacement condenser unit, stick the numbers on here and I’ll check itbout for you if you wish.
Could you extend the pipes and cables and fit an outdoor unit? woud be quiet then.

600 is heavier than air so it will stay at ground level mixing with the right amount of oxygen and 8O.
60’s and 70’s there were some spectacular and fatal explosions from smallish leaks with boats using LPG cookers and absorption fridges,I was working for Electrolux then.Leaks occured and the gas was trapped in the hull until it was accidentally ignited by some means or other.Installations were changed to prevent this etc, thats also a reason wht LPG fridges in caravans have grills through the floor to allow gas to escape through.
I’m still amazed that it was ever introduced in the way it was into domestic fridges, more ammo for the regulation brigade.spimps

Are there any signs of frost in the freezer?it sounds like you may have some sort of blockage at the rear of the freezer.

Presuming fan is working OK symptoms you described would indicate a faulty stat.
200c is far too high when set on 160c,tolerance should be less that 10 either way, ideal around 7ish set at 160 rise to 165, heater of,f back on when fall reaches 150c.
Convection ovens are much slower and thats probably OK, to get an accurate reading place probe in centre and work your way up starting at 100c then go up by 50’s,takes a while but don’t rush it to get an accurate temp.spimps
ParticipantRe: Moffat MDB900X Main oven problem
Have you set the clock, the main oven will likely be supplied through that to enable the timing etc without setting it the oven is usually dead.
