Whilst it may “look” physically OK doesn’t by any means sonfirm it is.
Presume the dryer will run without tripping the electrics when heater is not engaged. If it’s when it is reset that it trips you need a heater.
The inner insulation in the heater has probably broken down in one area of it causing a hot spot which willprobabl overheat causing the safety stat to cut out at the same time as increasing the voltage leaking to earth which will take out your RCD.
While your at it clean the fan baldes and the condenser likely they are choked with old fluff etc.

    Re: hotpoint rla33 thermostat

This one didn’t need a thermostat just repositioned the phial through the evaporator held down with a length of plastic.

(I don’t write them off you can take out the insulation at the back where the stat phial sits and reposition the phial so that is fastened to the evapoartor.Done it a few times now and works spot on,not origional spec of course, possibly better !

    Re: Electrolux EW12001 Spin fault

Presume this is just before it should spin,it ramps up but doesn’t go into the spin.If the machine is doing it when empty if the motor has no earth fault it’s the timer/pcb out of balance section that isn’t reading the motor current correctly so means a new timer/pcb.
If you set it to spin it will attempt to ramp up usually 3 or 4 times and then advance through to the end of programme without spinning,is also another pointer.

Any double oven htpt/creda produced free standing cooker diagram with the dual top oven grill set up would probably help me.

    Re: Low Pressure

Clarke pumps which can be found at CPC (pt no SI1543)which I have used on American top loaders will do the job,you will need to visit plumbing store for connection adapters to take washing machine hoses check if the control is a pcb type and check it can take the pump wattage, you could always fit a relay if in doubt. Not the manufactures spec but needs must.

    Re: Bosch SGV5613GB/12

It’s likely that there is gunge in the sump hose which cuases the machine to be short of water so the pump is starved and doesn’t circulate, heater is governed by water pressure in the machine so not enough water = no heat.
Simple fix but depends on your DIY capability, there are pic’s of the offending parts on here somewhere.

Re: Miele d/w buying advice needed

Miele’s are decent kit,the higher price stuff is possibly more difficult to shift under the present circumstances hence the reductions.
If the machine has enough of what you require go for it,don’t get too hung up in comparisons.
If it’s last years model the way standards in manufacture and longevity are falling (though miele may be the exception)it will be no problem at all.
Whatever you choose set the softener corrrectly to your area and don’t let salt run out,all in one tablets are best left on the supermarket shelf, old ways are best 😉

You could also have a mechanical blockage in the valve.ie it appears to open as far as the electrics are concerned but mechanically it isn’t opening the valve enough to allow sufficient or any flow. You could remove that pipe and fit an extension so it drains into the sink or outlet pipe and test for pressure. The next item in the line is the water matrix which houses the resin that you see, that would be expensive but they don’t block causing restrictions normally, would fancy the valve being faulty myself, unless incorrect salt has been used.
    Switch OFF first as always.

    http://www.masterpart.co.uk/ItemDetails … ode=SE5504
When the old brushers are at the end you get arching which balackens and scars the armature then you use the seater sometimes called a com stick, after you fit the brush you hold the seater compound onto the com and rotate the armature, the compound rubs off cleaning up the com at the same time as helping the brush to sit snugly on the radius of the comm which ensures better contact and less likelyhood of sparkin/arching/.

Do you use brush seater,it makes a better job and reduces whine.

There can be an ice build up/block in the lower channel for the air circuit to the fridge,it’s usually below the evap on the lower right hand side, the return aitr is top left..

    Re: dd603h ‘fill fault’

Don’t know the maachine well but there is likely an inlet valve for each draw or some means of diverting the fill, check on the manual as regards the water supply ie valves for each draw, doesn’t it give a discription of the fill system?

Hopefully someone with more familiarity of this machine will read this.
