Re: Candy FL134W – how to clean door glass?

    Hi,
Usually with the cheaper manufactures the door would have to be removed and then screws either at the top or bottom taken out to split the door.
I see with this model there is a tool sold for door removal by GIAS,depends on what hinges are fitted as usually you can lock the hinge to enable it to be removed from the body but I’m not familiar with this model.
Front panel UNPLUG FIRST,you would have toremove the facia, again screwed and to do this it would have to be removed from cupboard.
Cook first wine later, less messy 😉

Re: Problem with AEG EFi60013 cooker hood

If you have a look at cooker vent kits/parts at somewhere like B&Q there are hood/caps with a flap in them that can be fitted over the hole and will open when the fan pushes the air through.

Have you tried poking in out with a decent cable tie or similar, not usually ice if it’s the fridge drain.

Take the dispenser out and fill the softener compartment over your sink to the top,if it syphons out until empty it is proved clean, one tube fits over another when you replace the top of the softener compartment and old powder etc can hide up these.
if it is OK it may be the jets in the water distributor are blocked, with the draw out you may be able to see the holes in the roof of the soap draw assembly,it may be possible to clean them or you may need the water distribution/top of the soap draw unit replacing.

Called back, removed the level switch hose and tested but no sign of abrasion or air leak but changed it anyway.
Checked chamber at sump for level switch which was clean.
Ran through 60C prog and after heating for a while there was a period where it added more water in a very intermittent way as though a relay was bouncing in and out sometimes not connecting hardly at all,it was still heating(ampclamp confirming) it then continued and emtied at first rinse and refilled OK. I could understand it adding cold water at the end of hot wash for cooling but the heater was still engaged.
So,it seems like either a level/pressure switch problem or some sort of problem with the control board.
Have just realised I haven’t put a megger on the heater, could there be an earth leak causing problem?
    Any thoughts ?

    Re: AEG cut out

It’s worth changing both the cut out and the cooling fan stat provided the tangential fan is not worn, blades are likely to be full of grease if it’s a few years old and that could be a factor too (not pushing enough air round) in the cutting out etc.
    Easy enough to repair.

The capacity of the fan would have been designed for 1500watts and not 2500,may be cutting out on the overheat safety stat which should be situated on the rear wall of the oven cavity.
Would check with Baumatic UK for a definitive answer.

    Thanks. That does make sense.

That said – would a 2500W element do anything other than heat up faster, and if that’s the case, why would the thermostat not continue to work in the normal way?

    Thanks,
    Stu
With a 1000 watts more from the element is the fan motor running correctly and if it is is it capable of driving the air around quickly enough to dissapate the heat evenly in the oven,if it is/was it would then switch off at the thermostat.
If it isn’t it may be the heat build up is around the back where the element sits and possibly the safety stat which will be cutting out.
An oven thermometer would confirm if the oven temp is correct, and also the thermostats part in the proceedings.

Have occasionally seen powder in a lump in the soap draw to tub hose.
Got an LG with the same fault, had a look today, cleaned jets, vent hose, turned down pressure no leak.
Home for lunch and phone rings,it’s leaking worse than ever, back tomorrow 😥

    Re: Electrolux ESL6115

Basic’s need to be checked first. You need to open up sump hoses and pump, could be something floating around which is occasionally causing problems. Is it connected directly to the sink outlet, these get gunged up.
Pump itself may be worn ,modern ones (syncronus motors) can run in both directions so sometimes will jam sometimes not.
Check for pump impellor shaft not being looose in bearings and look for water in the motor shaft housing.
