The guitar playing needs some work, Can you imagine celebrating christmas Day everyday ?? Buying and giving Presents everyday ? and sadest of all having all the Queens Christmas Addreses since 1958 ! his favourite evidently being the 1998 one ( Huh ! I must have mised that one )

Their must be something wrong with the inverse cams in his head ! 😉

I am sure that Ken Bruce must have cracked his rips off air at this one !

    Re: Snobby Geits!!!

Materialistic, springs to mind ! whats wrong with these people ?
I had a guy the other day who when I arrived at his front door advised me that I would have to remove my shoes as he had a pure white carpet throughout the ground floor. I then advised him that whilst I would do as he requested once in the kitchen my shoes would be put on as if he wanted me to work on his appliance that would then become a health & safety issue.

Some folks have lost the plot !

    Re: punctured tyre

Several years back wife rang me and said that the exhuast on our car required attention. Sent her of to Exhuast Centre you cant get better, you get the idea. Anyway while there looking at the exhaust problem the fitter emerges for the workbay and informs my wife that the rear shocks have had it and require replacement as well ! She phones me again and said what shall I do ? I said ok let them fit a new pair at £ 130 odd quid ! and I will be there to sort out the payment !

I finished my job and hotfooted it over there just as they had repaired the exhuast system ( Original Prob ) and rolled the car out their workshop.
The fitter came out to total up the invoice and then asked for the total cost. I said any chance we can have a word with the manager. Out he came and there was the fitter, manager and reception full of customers who had their vehicles in for work.

I said that I would pay for the exhaust work but as far as the rear shocks were concerned they should be fitted for nothing under warranty !

The Manager said ” For Nothing looking at his fitter and us ” Yes I said Nothing. I then advised him that the shocks his fitter had diagnosed as faulty were fitted three weeks prior at the same branch and here is our receipt to prove it !

Well they were speechless, I apologised saying I am sorry but I thought that they would last longer than three weeks ! and that I was grateful that his eagle eyed fitter had averted the danger for my wife !

The manager agreed looking at his fitter with drawn daggers and we left !
I am sure that staff training took place thereafter to further educate the boys !

Re: Windows 7, Who’s taken the plunge??.

Forget Windows 7 , all the while its backwards compatible with Windows 3.1 there will be issues. I must admit that I have no problems with vista at all it has been extrememely stable. Windows XP is still the best for business and running Windows XP on the latest machines runs like lighting. As for running MAC on a PC or leopard thats not a problem I have a 3.40GHZ Dual Core Intel running Hackinstosh but you do need to edit the bios of the system as the Apple OS is looking for Apple hardware and some mobo chipsets will run Leopard and some will not.

I run Vista on my home laptop, Windows XP on my netbook for work and Windows XP Pro dual boot with Leopard on my power machine with terabyte drives etc which runs like a dream !

I will not be entertaining Windows 7 as its just more bloatware with more bugs to be ironed out at our expense, Thats why Microsoft run all their servers on Linux as Windows Server is just too insecure !

    Whats that tell us ?

    Re: Van logo

As has been said already here and in the original thread I would stay away from trying to have such logos on your van, in your company advertising as it will more than likely get you into hot water.

That said there is nothing as far as I am aware to stop you using plain text on your van showing names of manufacturers i.e. AEG – BOSCH – Etc Etc. I would avoid using brand colours as well !

In fact we have a independant in our neck of the woods that has his van loaded with various manufactures logos and as far as I am aware that may well constitute copyright infringements if it were proven that he did not have permission to use them. Still thats for him to worry about should the matter ever become letigious.

Yup, Three Phase indeed, problem is that front bearing has become loose in motor casing causing excessive play and poling of motor F.02 Fault Code.

Look like a new motor !
