    Hi George

Did you glue up the small grey breather hose on the back of dispenser when you replaced dispenser hose?

They leak from here and run down drum on to motor?

So may well have damage board again.

    Re: Caple DishwasherDI617 Error 1

    Hi guys

Any one have any ideas on this one. Still having problems 😳

Have changed the PCB and flow switch, still error out just before the drying cycle.

It can also error 1 after a minute of starting?
Reset and off it goes until just before the drying again will error out.

Checked the flow meter thats seems ok, all wiring appears ok, washing and heating once going?

So stumped a bit now 😕 to top it all have same fault yet on DI614?

    Would appreciate any help?

Dont say you have a crusher 😆

Surely someone has come across this fault as well

I thought I would just update this job and confirm it was a PCB fault, probably from the start? :rolls:
Very difficult one to confirm and whether other components did actually cause a problem and cause the board to fail 😳
Who knows now its got 2 new bits on at our expense but as said sh*t happens you learn from mistakes hopefully not to do this again.

One thing after telling the customer it now working properly I could not believe his reaction and statement ‘I am glad we did not have to get lawyers involved’!! 😡
He was actually going to go down this road.. he already written a 3 page document of evidence, I cant believe the balls of some people, we are not here to ripp any one off it was a genuine diagnosis error.

Maybe I should have just said theres yours money back cut my losses, but thats gratitude for you.

Dont you just love some customers ❓

Thanks for all your replies tho!

It is a strange one never had an issue before usually either motor or heater box job done!

Remember checking board at the time of the motor issue it was ok, after having same problem and then replacing heater box and finding same issue problem rechecked the board which had damage to the diode and triacs the chip believe it or not was actually ok.
So not sure if it was old diverter box or new one that caused the damage to board?

So had board repaired but still find only top arm working?

have rechecked board appears to be in tact.

So this leaves me with PCB fault! and or diverter issue as well? But as Im paying for this as according to customer misdiagnosed!? SHIT HAPPENS

Have you tested the Heater, insulation problem also can cause weird board faults.
Also check the connections on motor plug!

Last one i had was a loose tacho!

I take it you have also checked the dispenser hose for leaks onto motor quite common?

    Re: some advice!

Its worth knowing about these things!

Its not just replacing something like a bath or worktop in general thats cheap ish!! its all the hassle plumbing tiling etc and labour that soons mounts up.

Tell me, if this happens and you offer one of these companies to come in and put right can the customer still refuse a repair and still go down the insurance route?

    Re: some advice!

Not heard a thing on this one yet?

But FYI I have found a web site and spoke to this company on worktop repairs and general maintenance they charge around £120
to do what ever you want 😆

So this may be of interest to anyone else who may come across a sticky situation and instead of an insurance claim this may come out alot cheaper than even your excess?

Dont get me started on politics 😆

One… he should have bought a nISE wahing machine.. 😉

Second..This sort of thing really Pisses me off 👿
Who the F&&k do these people think they are, they are rich enough any way to pay for this themselves.
With the state of the country and the job situation as it is if I had my way and I was in charge I sack the F&&&ing lot of them. Even those other tossers in the house of lords.. get shot of the lot of em.

You got me started…It about time we made a stand and told these elected people..
    NO more expenses..
No wasting of our money, if you dont like doing the job for what your paid then Piss off.
If you live out of town and you travel to work do what the rest of us do pay for it out of your own money..
If not move closer to your job like the rest of us have to do.. 👿

I better go before I say something I may regret.. 😆

Re: Van Insurance no claims discount

Thet are a law unto themselves but..I have sorted it out now!
Spoke to a supervisor there eventually who was a friend of a friend 🙂 🙂

I could not understand at first what they ment so made them go back through the whole history, I have been with them for 13 years so accumilated plenty of years. only 2 non fault claims going back years!

One small van have 14 years NCB.
The VW which initially said 3 years I actually have 10 years, the reason was which I now recall was due to an overlap on the previous van went over its lease period while we waited for a replacment this then ment for a short time we had 2 vehicles on the same time and so to keep the premium down they mirrored the NCB as a tempory thing and created a new policy, this was supposed to be transfered as soon as the original policy lapsed but they forgot :rolls: and they said normally they only honour the NCB for 2 years if not used ❗ this wasnt my fault but as it happens they have transferd it over now so premium now just under £600, so at least I have all the NCB back on so when i decide to get a comparison next time i have maximum discount now 😉

I’ve not seen it but if it’s about the Moon which I was consulted about, it’s a crap design and I more or less said so. It’s a heap of problems waiting to start never mind the fact that it’s a crappy product IMO anyway.

Falls into that, “seemed like a good idea at the time” category. But really wasn’t.

is that why they interviewed Graham watkinson from DASA instead :rotl:
