    Re: Hotpoint BWD129 Overheat Problem

the machine should have a thermal cut out cable on the dryer element.
whoever changed the dryer element would have removed the thermal cut out because it would be open circuit.
I went to one of these and the pcb was faulty causing the dryer heater to be on all the time.
i ended up changing both dryer and wash elements and the pcb and the thermal cut out.

if you hold in the button for a prolonged period it shoukd reset. but sometimes you have too muck about switching it off and on.

hi the float switch doesnt switch the pump back on and i checked the microswitch. so it looks like its going to be the pcb.

    Re: Best of the budgets.

I have a real issue with the newer Hotpoint/Indesit washing machines, this stupid blue linear pressure switch i have had 4 now which started off as blocked pumps which were cleared without even moving the machines ended up in new machines due to faulty pcbs. all this resetting carry on should not be nescessary. I would certainly not recommend anyone to buy one of these machines.

thanks for the reply there are definately no blockages, and the pump pumps perfectly at the start but not again.
