Re: Bosch SGS5312GB – cycles taking too long

How easy is it to check and change the element?

Very easy to check with multimeter set to ohms.

Very difficult to change as a DIY job.

:zap: Pull the plug first please.

Will more than likely require a new freezer fan.

    Not a big job.

Re: Hotpoint D/W DF62 (Bosch) not emptying

Ran the machine again and now not emptying at all. Pump seems to vibrate rather than rotating.

May sound stupid, but you did refit the plastic cover over the impellor didn’t you ❓ . Without that in place the pump will run forever, but never shift a drop.

I personally have have made this mistake before 😳

    Just a thought.

Yeah the part changed a while ago now.

I never go back again now. Always change them as a pair.

Check under the large flat filter recess.

Agreed, I’ve never had a sump seal leak on an SGS. There has always been a small hole made by salt.

Usually as BSH-MAN said in the groove under the filter. Also remove the feeder tube and check there.

Think the all important E-Nr is the key to this.

As some models are 55cm and others are 60cm wide.

    Just a thought.

Push the little “buttons” with a terminal driver, or the like.

It will then slide IIRC to the right (or left 😆 ).

    HTH 😉

Have you checked the drain hole at the back of the fridge?.

    Suspect it is blocked.

As for the noise, doubt it’s connected, but would need full E-Nr. Found next to the salad drawer.

Registering just gives D+G the customers details so they can offer extended warranty.

Two year g/tee regardless of registration. Just need receipt.

Without seeing it can’t really say for definate 😕

But I would assume that our guy tested everything. But even with the non-return valve etc I’ve still seen dishwashers backfill from the drains.

I would agree with changing the detergent and see how things go.

Don’t suppose there’s any photo’s of this gunge is there?.

Re: Mis-Sold 4 years warranty insurance

They do it all the time.

I’ve lost count of the number of customers that I have told that the appliance comes with a two year guarantee, after being robbed of a year on the extended warranty.

The look on their faces is priceless, and I bet the sales guy gets a right earfull 😆 .
