What time will it officially start and finish?

I won’t be able to stay over but would like to come for the meeting.

    seconds

    😆

Not everything is about quickness. 😉

The reason I took the front off, which I’m sure Jonah will as well, is to thoroughly check the connector block at the front of the machine. Also you can check the loom running down from the fascia pcb. And while your there your can insulation test the heater to make sure that a weird earth fault isn’t the culprit.

I’m sure you will agree that whilst we find our feet with these machines a thorough checkover is better than a world record attempt????

    Re: ISE 5 E06 Fault

I haven’t had a loom fault myself but I assume a clean up and pinching of connector will do the trick. It will be easy enough to ring out from motor to invertor board.

If the wiring is ok I would firstly change the invertor board. And then test machine to see if fascia board is ok.

I took front of machine off to change invertor board. You may be able to change it from underneath but I felt it gave me better access with the front removed.

Rest assured you’ve done the hard bit by changing the motor. Ringing out the loom and/or changing the board(s) will be a walk in the park.

    Good Luck!

    Re: ISE 5 E06 Fault

I had an error 8. Changed invertor board and motor.

The problem with the technical information is that the flowcharts are for brush motor machines not induction type, so when it says change pcb it means the fascia pcb rather than the invertor pcb.

I would order fascia pcb and invertor pcb just to save even more trouble in the customers house.

Did you check the loom from motor to invertor board? as a few machines suffered with bad connections at the invertor board end.

    Hope this helps?

p.s. what a b**ch of a job that motor change is!!!!!

These fault codes are for Haier dishwashers which yours is:

    OXXX – door switch
    OOOX – no fill
    OXOO – no drain
    XOOX – ntc o/c
OOOO – overflow – flood protection activated.

Where “O” is lit and “X” is not.

Unfortunately none of the codes match your light sequence. Perhaps there are other Haier codes around somewhere???? 😕

I thought I had a good one the other day, 7 years on a bosch. same fault as yours.

I wonder if anyone can top 12 years????

sold to him as new by a certain trader in Bishopmill, Elgin. This is the first repair he has had done on the machine.

I had one similar the other day.The man of the house said it was the first repair ever done it. I questioned it as it had the later thicker door seal fitted. He wouldn’t have it!
So much so he called his wife at work who reminded him the machine was repaired 18 months ago. 😆

The point being, don’t always believe the customer even if it does put down a competitor. I know its tempting!!!

    Re: Hotpoint WMA42

Heres the diagnostics, copied from known error codes:

Hotpoint WMA 30/40/50 LAST ERROR DETECTED codes

Ensure that the main selector switch is in the Off or O position.

Press and hold the Super Rinse and Rinse Hold buttons whilst selecting H on the selector knob, and continue to hold for five seconds.

The ‘Super Rinse’, ‘Rinse Hold’ and ‘Wash’ LED’s will now be flashing.

Press the Start/Cancel button for two seconds.

The ‘Rinse Hold’ LED will be lit and the ‘Super Rinse’ LED will be flashing.
The ‘Final Spin’ LED could be on or off at this stage.

Press the Rinse Hold button briefly.

The ‘Rinse Hold’ LED will be flashing & the ‘Super Rinse’ LED will be on steady to indicate the last error routine has been initiated.

Rotate the main programme selector knob slowly anti-clockwise to programme A

Slowly rotate the selector switch clockwise through four positions A to D inclusive, pausing briefly at each programme position. Starting with A make a note of the ‘Final Spin’ LED status. it will be on or off.

When the selector knob reaches D you will have a series of Ons and Offs . This 4 bit binary code should be recorded and checked against the error codes in the following table.

    ……………………………………………………..A………..B………….C………..D

    No spin due to O.O.B……………………….on………off………..off………off

Start butt pressed with door open…….off……….on…………off……..off
    or O/C interlock.

Failure to fill in allotted time……………..on……….on……….off……….off

Failure to pump out in time allowed……off………off………on……….off

    No feedback from thermistor when……off………on……….on………off
    heating.

    Tacho error…………………………………….on……..on……….on………..off

    No feedback from tacho…………………..off……….off………off……….on
    Motor O/C

    Motor triac short circuit…………………….on……….off……….off……….on

If it stops during filling it could be valve or water pressure troubles, or carbon brushes worn……just treat it as any other washing machine. Check the wiring loom near the lower concrete weight hasn’t chaffed.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Creda 17057E

I think the wires in the loom at the timer connector end run in the same sequence at the motor plug end.

(check it out with the the 3 wires that are ok. see what position they are at the timer connector.)

Rather than cup out the water, put a washing up bowl in the dishwasher and take off upper spray arm, set it to a cycle and hope it starts circulating, the water will then fill the bowl. Syringe out the water left in the sump.

Split in door seal. Hole in sump hose. Machine overfilling. One of many things. Be safe unplug machine when inspecting!

Whats the insulation reading of the machine with the motor unplugged?

Go from the pressure switch wires to earth if you don’t want to take the front panel off.

Is that a wet test with a load of towels in it? Have you checked the wash heater? It may be a corroded spider rather than worn bearings which may have done the deed!
