    Re: Bearing Tools

I have my first Ci 555 bearing job and first 5v2 to do.

Not wanting to speak out of turn here…. but due to the cost of spares being so cheap surely its a false investment just changing the bearings on their own. The repair won’t last, so backhalf and shaft has got to be the recommended approach hasn’t it?

Has this one got any lights that flash when it stops?

Could be front or rear ntc error?

I don’t have ntc values, sorry.

    Re: Hoover HNL7126 dead.

The switch could still have a broken leg on it though.

Might be worth taking board out to have a closer look. Especially if the customer is obviously a bit heavy fingered.

Have you checked the start switch on the front pcb?

    Fase,

forget about the door lock at the mo!

do as suggested, take off the front board and check the switches arent sticking or breaking off the board.

the brushes go back in just as you would the bosch maxx range!

whilst your there get the part number off the main board, it will be on the label. 546089200 or something like that.

If it was R1 resistor at fault there would be no lights on at all. so forget that at the mo!

    breathe!

I think you usually hold the start button for 5 seconds or so until the key symbol goes off.

Heater and NTC located at the back behind the rear panel.
Same as the Hoover Six range upwards.

    Re: ISE5 version 1 backhalf

the only time we need to inform AXA is on completion to claim the costs or if it exceeds the authorisation limits

    Perhaps I’m getting confused?

It was mentioned on Johns last post that if ‘AXA declare the machine BER’.
So I assumed someone had priced the job up and ISE were waiting for AXA’s say so.

I know why ISE spend on insurance but as John, on Friday, mentioned about an exchange that is why I wrote what I wrote. (This case being an excemption to the rule and ISE covering the costs.)

    Re: ISE5 version 1 backhalf

    Thanks for response John,

If we can get parts to you in the next couple of days or Axa declare the machine a BER that resolves the issue.

Surely the job should have been put to AXA as soon as it was logged at ISE?

In future I’ll limit my responses to the business side of ISE and leave the techical side to the engineers (Sean and Ken)

I think this is the business side of things isn’t it?
This is not a Technical Issue.

I would think you, as Managing Director, would have the authority to swap the machine or not. And the cost implications met by ISE not AXA.

Anyway, I need to communicate with the customer in the next 48 hours. I can’t leave it any longer.

Check the wash heater is ok. Can’t remember if its just no spin if heater OC or no motor action at all.

    Re: ISE5 version 1 backhalf

As you know this is what I ordered to do a quality repair:

    Backhalf and bearing assembly.
    Drum and shaft assembly.
    Tub gasket.
    Door seal.
    Heater.

Now, true, I may be able to get away without the heater but everything else is essential. There is no way I would put an old shaft in new bearings where the old front bearing was virtually non-existent.

The reason I’m changing the door seal is its dried out and would be causing issues in the near future.

I don’t mind how the insurers want to play it. I can change the door seal and the heater on separate occasions if they want?

(I now feel like I’m having to justify myself.)

All I know is this job is consuming to much of my time and effort and thats before I receive the spares.

I will see what the new week brings.

I assume that this is for Mrs Hall and they’ll see instantly what I did given the parts ordered and they know that I have bearings available.

What did you see? And what will they see?

    😕
