Have you checked the mains socket / plug for signs of overheating?

That’s what jag-12 and I were saying. The temperature of the glass is the proof and the manual. Also, no martin it won’t stay on B it never did.

Do it from the back! Twist a few strands of wire together and knot it through the Ty wrap clip before pushing it into the machine, as you pull out the old heater wires you can then put the few strands of wire on the new Ty wrap clip of the new heater and gently pull through. (Make sure it’s a good length of wire). I have also managed to clip it in with my little finger…

I agree with jag-12. Get them to do the B wash and periodically check the glass.

Try it with low heat selected and see what happens. I know that’s not the answer but it may buy you time. I had one which cut out but was ok on low heat.

Assuming the customer is explaining the fault correctly, what happened when you tried the spin?
The selector units on this model were a weak point. 45M ohm on the heater , I doubt it’s causing any problems.

Martin please don’t be confused, just google FA safeguarding templates and all will be revealed.

Just giving an example Martin. The FA appreciate that such templates assist the user saving them time and costs on an individual basis. Why do we need there to be parallels?

Perhaps a WTA subject? I know with FA safeguarding issues I use templates from the FA website perhaps the WTA could adopt something similar?

Martin it does have the front ntc, item 0216. Is this the one you were referring to originally?

    Re: Siemens wt36v398

I thought you were meaning the ntc that is at the front, normally embedded in the filter area.

Where is it located on this model? Do you have any idea how you get to it? Thanks.
