    Thanks, that would explain it.

Thanks, but I’m pretty sure it’s a 3 phase motor. It could still be a motor fault causing it, as it definitely isn’t going round…

Yes it’s the new style motor. Had trouble with one of them before.

    Thanks

Thanks, not what I was hoping to hear, but it would have been my guess. Looks like I have a £50 interlock that will be living ion the van for the foreseeable future as I doubt she’ll stump up for a PCB..

This one is a bit of a pain. When you open the door there’s a trim panel that you have to remove that partially holds the front on. There’s screws behind the fascia in the middle and a couple at the bottom. The retaining springs for the door seal are a bit different as well.

    Thanks for that.

I should have said the hinges and seal are fine despite being 15 years old.

    I’ll try what you said.

She got Hotpooint in, it needed a PCB, heater, NTC and something else she couldn’t remember. It’s only 18 months old.

Re: Hotpoint Aqualtis stopping and lights flashing

The machine is under the stairs in a very narrow extension, so no I didn’t check the heater, I was trying to get it to repeat the fault. It was something I considered, but it ran through other programs without stopping. I’ve since discovered it will run through these programs empty, but when full of washing it stops at 25 minutes. She emailed me a video and it’s the program lights and the on/off light flashing at 100mph.
Drain is fine, it’s into a standing pipe at the back that’s almost the height of the machine.

I’m positive, number’s on the oven, the receipt and the books. I bought the NTC before opening the thing up – so I’m out of pocket for that before I start.

Re: Beko ODF22300x – heating when it shouldn’t

Whole thing was pretty low insulation.

When it started arcing across a gap in the blown element and heating up while switched to light (with the wires to the light disconnected) I decided to call it a day. It had also managed to cut through the middle of my fingernail and there was blood everywhere…

    Skip time.

    Thanks.

Apparently it’s been working perfectly until recently. Can’t understand how it’s possible for power to get to the element when it’s turned to light.
