Re: Cheap (sorry) washing machine needed

My experience having sold and serviced a fair number of makes / machines suggests Bosch has the edge..
We just have far less hassle with Bosch.
The Bosch WAE24377GB should be close to your budget.
They have a 2 yeat guarantee as well.
They can do 1 hour washes @ 40 degrees as well if required.
    They are easy to operate.

I think the montpellier machines have split drums.

    Re: ignition unit connections

Martin, many thanks for your post.
When printed it shows up not too bad.
I’ll send on the product number later in case it is of relevance.
I’me probably hoping for too much detail regarding the ignition unit connections i.e. coloured wires & ht lead — physical positions .
I dont want to strip it to pieces to trace the wires, if I can help it.
Everything is working as it should but am suspicious that wires were got at beforehand.

Re: samsung oven BF641FB not heating

    Many thanks for your response.
The customer was in a hurry & they have gone to find samsung so its academic for now.
I did examine the selector switch & it looked in very good condition; no burn marks; good positive mechanical operation.
I have been thinking about this since and wondering if the a non resetting toc could have operated letting the control board think it was too hot already. The cooling fan was running immediately so not sure if the toc is supposed to be N/C or N/O. There are two tocs one above the oven and one to the rear.
With hindsight there were more voltage checks I could have done.
Maybe someone familiar with this model would like to comment.

Re: Bosch washing machine not rinsing properly

Came across a case a bit like this.
The customer reported symptoms like yours.
It turned the machine was not heating and after a period of time; aborted the wash program without doing any rinsing.
The customer thought the machine had finished the full program as they did not observe it throughout and were unaware that no heating had taken place.
The machine was a Bosch but not your exact model.
Heater failure is not so likely as your machine is almost new; but nevertheless something else to consider!
Bosch carry a two year guarantee in any case.

virtually impossibly but not totally. I’ve seen it! Admittedly it was not the regular user of the machine. I just thought it would be useful to rule out this possibility.

Re: Bosch washing machine not rinsing properly

    just seeing this post now.
I’ve seen a case where detergent powder accidently got into the prewash section of the drawer as well as main wash compartment. The machine was being set to do a normal wash (no prewash). This powder was then taken in during he rinses. It took several rinse programs to get the machine clear of suds. Not sure if this would apply to your model.

Re: Machine only smell during wash

Could be worth checking the condition of the socket outlet and 13A plugtop (or other means of mains supply connection, e.g. isolator switch etc). Have seen this responsible for fishy smell.
Be sure to turn off power before any dimantling anything.
For your safety it would be best to employ an Experienced professional electrician if any part of the electrical installation needs replacing, as they will inspect and test appropriately.

thanks Allsorts & eastimark for replies. yes it’s been a few years now. We found the information on them helpful when ordering spares. I’ve heard something about a source costing £144.00 but nothing more.

😥 Not able to help you other than empathise with you. I’ve had a number of these fail too with the same faulty transformer. exhaustive searching but never found a replacement transformer. Certainly puts me off sellling/suggesting whirlpool. but then there is not a lot you could stake your reputation these days.

    Re: bosch wte84102 error codes

I realize this enquiry started a while back. I’ve to go to one of these with same symptoms including beeping sound— beebs three times then a gap 3 more beeps another gap & then 3 more beeps; then a longer gap before resuming the cycle again.
Just wondering if the fault was identified. Also, any pointers from a bosch guru (past or present)would be very welcome.
    Many thanks in advance.
