    Re: Candy CIV60 fan removal

    Thanks Bob.
I figured the same solution. I managed with two 5mm holes, diagonally opposite & there was a mould ring to judge the same radii so should be dynamically balanced; now back together with screwlock for insurance.

    Thanks Martin.
It certainly looks as if it isn’t meant to come off.
🙁 Seems a pity that the 3 screws securing the cowl cannot be tightened; one has come out causing a noise which alerted the customer.
    No other fault is present.
I imagine the cost of a replacement motor assembly will make this BER.
The customer will be delighted with Candy.

Re: Fagor dishwasher VFU-651T stat required

❓ I have one of these dishwashers which takes in water & circulates for a few minutes then puimps out and flashes No 2 led alternately with No 1, 3 & 4 together (counting from the left.
This is not listed in the known fault codes.
There is not heating action although the element tests OK. Will check the thermostat as suggested (resetting).
Also need the steel band which connects door to door spring if any one has P/No or stock
    Thanks for any help

    🙁

Is this all behind the control panel ? They form an “L” shape if viewed from the side. If it is it comes as a complete assembly, part number 8996619267801.

    This sounds about right.
The oven is an expensive high spec. However I’me sure the owner will not be best please at the total bill.
The oven had been run on a cleaning process Ok. The next time it was tried the catastrophic failure ocurred.
    many thanks for your help

    Re: Electruepart

🙁 I’ve given up on electrue. I can get all the spares + finished goods from alternative suppliers who seem much more interested in / appreciative of, getting the orders. I suppose it might be different if I had agency work wiyh Electrue.

🙂 thanks for your reply chris.
A bit more background to my original posting.
I’ve had a dry cleaning business looking for a twintub.
Apparently the twintub is particularly suited for some particular treatment/process they carry out.
They have used a Hoover in the past.
I want to avoid supplying something that behaves differently only to find that it is unsuitable.

Re: Guarantee cards in new machines.

Recently there has been instances where an extended guarantee promotion has worked in reverse, when the customer realized that I would not be carrying out any of the work.
They preferred to buy a machine with normal guarantee so that I could do the repairs.
I encourage customers to let me know of any problems in or out of guarantee. This maximises customer in contact.
I get plenty of word of mouth references because I take the interest.
The big shops hardly offer this!
Under extended guarantees & customer might be gone for good.
