    thanks Dave. 😀
Nothing hanging, arms rotate freely, Flap is always open at end of cycle.
She has been using the A prog which incorporates a prewash.
💡 I have asked her to try using B or C as the dispenser flap opens immediately on these.
Awaiting her observations. Neverthe the less I would like to find out why the intermittent behaviour.

Re: Electrical Safety & Legal Legislation

    😯 Had two recent examples:
1st a 4 year old house with no earth connection. All earth continuity wires went back to consumer unit, then nowhere. Alerted when Loop tester refused to do the test.
2nd a much older property with >10000 ohms loop impedence for a cooker outlet. This installation had satisfactory earth loop impedence on the sockets and at fuse box end of cooker circuit.
    Appliance only tests were satisfactory.
Both customers advised not to use appliances until fault rectified.
This was noted on Invoices and customer signatures obtained.
Dread to think what might have happened with an earth fault on the appliances.
Many customers seem to think if it works it must be OK.
Over the years I have seen a number of high risk situations with customers oblivious to the danger and not always best pleased when informed.
Thers is a lot of detail to installation testing / inspection & we don’t always get credit for looking into it but it is a serious issue.

    Re: Ariston AWD12 Dial spins…

🙁 I have an ariston behaving in a similar way.
The right hand red light is flashing very fast — very difficult to count (flashes 3 times & then pause) the program knob rotates continuously. It has an ntc with spade connectors. I have measured the resistance as 28k ohms. tried other ntc inc a 14k ohm but no change in behaviour. Looks like the board will have to be changed!
    Any suggestions welcomed.
😀 Many thanks to all those who post as I have found lots of useful information just by reading about other problems especially in the trade sections!

Always electric power off when examining machine for faults.
Have a good look at the door hinge to make sure it is not twisted.
Check that the door rubber is correctly seated where it fits to the front panel on the machine.
Worth checking door catch for breaks / faulty spring.

    Re: condensation on glass shelves

Possibly loads of fresh veg in it, seen that happen on some of the Smeg FAB28’s etc. as they “breathe” and cause excess condensation. Other than that the only thing I can think of is an ingress of ambient air.

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

Are you a Radio Ham by any chance by the way by referring to “om”?

    3rd time lucky WFB4001 GB/01 — definitely a Bosch.
I got this fault before; that time I had an old machine that I robbed.

Just not paying attention to my typing; just a plain ham for this posting anyway!

    PLM4702 – £1.59
    HPT1702251 – £14.25
    MER074213 – £43.53
    BSH096825 – £65.46

OK so there is always better prices for quantity but this is contemptible treatment (rip off).

Surprise surprise, we have given up on connect for a good while now.

Maybe this is what they want.

Plenty of alternative suppliers to choose from though.

Check out the Miele Cat & Dog model; recommended for pet owners.
More expensive than the Henry but spec is higher and as usual with Miele, owners seem well pleased.
