    Re: websites

    Hi
I created my own at http://www.officelive.com
Really easy to do and it costs me £9.99 per year (for domain name)
You can see how many hits you have & from where (Google, bing etc)
what words are being used to search for you etc
I find it suits me just fine as a one man band

    Re: masterparts info

    Hi
I use masterpart and the only way I pay is via my debit card at the time of order. They have my card details on file, so I just order online and they take the money from my card with no need to phone me for payment. Simples 🙂

    Re: Connect

I have had the same problem with both Connect & Qualtex, a quick phone call to both soon sorted it out. They have to validate ? your account, but it was sorted within minutes in both cases

    Re: ISE10 and credit cards

I used to accept payments with cards via paypal, but this was costing me a fortune. So now I ask the customer to pay by direct banking if they can. The money is usually in my account within minutes with the faster payments system that most banks now use, and its free. If they have to pay by card, I add a surcharge of the amount I get charged by paypal (around £30.00). ALL my recent sales have been by direct banking which is much easier and convenient for me (No waiting for money to clear and no trip to the bank)

    Re: Call Divert

I,m with Virgin, they charge £1.50 per month plus call costs
Worth the money as the extra I pay is easily made up with just one call not lost. On the negative side, it can be a pain when you’re in the middle of a job and the phone won’t stop ringing. Always think of the cost when I miss one though 🙁
I always advice my customers to ring me direct on the mobile for convenience (and less cost to me 😆 )

    Re: do you sell machines?

I can not compete on price with the bigs stores and wouldn’t really want to. I find that a lot of customers just want a machine as soon as possible and will trust my recomendation. (Usually ISE but not always).
They do not want to go around looking around the sheds all day long.
I will supply a machine, install and dispose of the old one all for the price I quote them.
I work in Hertfordshire and use Portway mainly as I find their deliveries ok, although stock could be a bit better
I make about £100 to £130 per sale and sell between 3 to 5 a month which is not bad money for the work involved, and don’t forget with ISE you get the service work aswell 😀

    Re: Stair trolley/truck

    I got the qualtex one
I found it awkward to use, after 3 uses went around a bend and one of the wheels broke and almost had the machine in the gutter, I felt very embarrased as customer was watching me,
now just sitting in the garage taking up valuable space (not me the trolley)
I must get round to contacting qualtex about it 😐
