My fave trick is when hubby offers a cuppa which I refuse ……then when his wife walks in and says “I don’t suppose he even thought to offer you a drink”?

I reply “No he didn’t but I would live a coffee please” 😆

    Mean …….but great fun!

I think the Oxfordshire phrase is somewhere between the Cockney & the Glaswegian …….”cattled”

I am sure it is linked to the truck that transports cattle around the countryside being broken 😆

Thanks for the superquick reply! I will give that a go tommorow and post back. I suppose stupidly discounted the pressure switch because there is no hose to the interlock 😆

Re: Costs to become Corgi Registered????

    Rob,

I looked into this a few years ago………and to be honest the cost was a relatvely minor part!

It meant that apart from going on a course I then had to spend at least one day a week with another corgi engineer for around six weeks, I don’t know how I was supposed to do that!

If I remember rightly they suggested I get some work with a company that was already registered in order to gain the experience! That was after I explained that I was working alone.

It seemed a great idea and I think I am right ion saying it was to cost around four thousand pounds PLUS the time off PLUS the time with another engineer.

I gave up! I am amazed that “THEY” make it so ridiculously dificult.

    GOOD LUCK MATE :lesson:

    NEVER SELL CRAP….END OF….!!

Martin, I couldn’t agree more! I am constantly amazed that independant retailers are willing to compete with one another selling rubbish products looking for high turnover and virtually no margin.

If you become known for only selling “Top end products” you won’t have to waste your time on the people that will only take your quote to the next guy to buy it cheaper.

If you ignore the cheap imports & refuse to sell them or repair them ……..they wont last will they?

Will someone PLEASE explain why independants that have an “Exclusive” appliance are determined to sell at the lowest possible price??

    😕

    Re: Miele spin

Hey spanner51…….I love your way of thinking……only perhaps in reverse! I would happily work on an “Expensive” Miele than a “Value” indesit or servis.

I guess it wouldn’t work though …. but a nice idea all the same 💡

What is the point of washing the cutlery & then holding the blade of the knives etc to take them out???

Them as wot needs more water for sticky spoons etc would be best served with paper plates and a waste disposal unit………….oh yeah they thought it WAS a waste disposal unit !!!! and they are probably putting the paper plates in the dishwasher as we speak :rolls:
