It doesn’t need to be bypassed but just set on manual.
The problem is it’s a tenant that have told the agent they use it.

Re: Homark 0-700401/1 oven Minute minder

    Thanks Steve,
I just realised I mistyped the model, it should be 02-700401/1

aqualectric wrote:Is this a 2hr analogue timer? Put “analogue oven timer” into Connections

The problem is although it’s listed as a minute minder it has a set of contacts that turn the oven off after a set time.
Unfortunately the timers that come up on the search either don’t give a timed value, don’t have contacts or in many of the cases are no longer available.
I think the one I am looking for is 5045172202864 but again, no longer available and no alternative shown.

I wondered if that would be the case.
Thanks for looking it up Hyg-dip.

I’m not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure if they only use quick wash but will check when I go back with the micro filter.
The fault was related to water levels, the side float chamber was a bit blocked but where the micro-filter in the sump was also blocked with the gunge and split open so it sat against the inlet port that could also have caused the wrong fill levels and hunting on fill so not sure which came first.

Re: Bosch Diswasher white gunge round filter

    Thanks,

I can see the logic of it being from food fibres that get caught in the fine filter holes and then bleached through constant washing.

What doesn’t make sense though, on my own machines; the first machine which I gave away after 12 years never showed signs of this whereas my new(ish) machine started to do this the other week (but nowhere near to the extent of the picture) at about 1 year. I rarely clear the filters on either as plates are always scraped before being put into the machine.

    Thanks Martin,
Brilliant, I’ve not seen those diagrams before.
I don’t understand, The regeneration valve was activated for a good 30 seconds just after the machine had finished it’s fill but as the inlet valve wasn’t activated the machine didn’t take in any more water. I don’t know if it would have been possible for the brine solution to pass into the wash at that point?

    Thanks Martin,
Should the valve be energised at this time though?

Returned and checked the PCB in the back. The tops of the capacitors have rounded and there are signs of overheating that looks like the culprit.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Steve.

I’ve found this with either the overflow or even a lot of gunge up under the plug hole but it didn’t make sense for the dishwasher connected to the same waste not causing the problem unless the position of the waste to the trap made a difference.

Re: Hoover W/D HNWL6136-60 no dryer heat

I forgot to include it in the original post.
Both stats had tripped so I reset them but still didn’t get a live to the element or stats which I thought was odd.
I missed the board on the floor at the back, I checked the PCB mounted to the right in the top of the cabinet.
I will go back and take a look at the other PCB.
    Thanks.

Re: Extended drain hose causes smell from sink.

The dishwasher is connected to the waste immediately next to the washing machine connector under the sink and doesn’t present a problem.
The washing machine and extended hose is only 9 months old so surprising if there is much of a build-up of sludge.

Re: Bosch better than Hotpoint, ‘Really’ ?????

Having replaced my kitchen appliances a year ago I have had the Bosch microwave replaced, the Bosch washing machine replaced and the Neff oven replaced twice.
Fisher & Paykel have been out to the fridge freezer twice for minor problems.
The Bosch microwave is still faulty and after being replaced, Bosch technical (Germany) looking into the problem it took 6 months to tell me it’s user error!
It really is a problem knowing what to recommend.

Re: John Lewis washing machine problem, advice needed please

E69 does suggest a heating element however I would advise testing the element with a meter before replacing.
The error code should only be used as a guide to the fault.
If you have a meter check for continuity between the element terminals with it disconnected. I would advise against removing the element until it has been tested as they can prove extremely difficult (if not impossible) to refit if not faulty.
Make sure the machine is unplugged before doing anything.
