ParticipantRe: Beko D/W D3422FS-42 Wiring Diagram
Thanks Dave,
I tried my connect account but the site was down when I posted this.
I have just checked and it’s up and running so I will take a look.
Thanks,
Keith.

ParticipantRe: Bosch Dishwasher Element Short Circuit
Thanks Martin,
I know I should have done this at the time, but it was 5pm, a long hot day with another 3 calls to do, I didn’t think of checking the PCB. It wasn’t until after I left realised I should have done the obvious and check the PCB.
Also the element wasn’t short circuit, it was a dead short to earth which is why it tripped the RCD.
I’m just trying to ascertain the likelihood of the board being damaged?

ParticipantRe: Workloads
It’s gone very quiet for me.
Most engineers in this area seam to be the same.
It always went quiet over the school holidays but the last few years it didn’t seam to make any difference.
Never mind, I’ll finish the week on Thursday and take a long weekend in Salcombe, beats working 🙂

ParticipantRe: Cookers BDW060/A Dishwasher Not heating.
Thanks for the help,
Now the machine has been identified as Brandt does anyone have any ideas what would prevent it from heating?
This machine is only just about a year old. Element checks out OK. No sign of any damage on the PCB.
Customer says machine shows no error lights come on just the end light fails to come on and the water will not heat and dishes do not dry.
I can get into the test program (5 presses of the start button but then pressing the start button to step through the tests it just drops out of test mode (I am not holding the button down for for 2 seconds to cancel).

ParticipantRe: Cookers BDW060/A Dishwasher Not heating.
The appliance wasn’t badged, all it had was a model number and a rating plate that said made in France.
Following a search I found the White Westinghouse with website the picture as Gegsy’s link shows.
I can only assume it’s manufactured by White Westinghouse. The wash pump is the ‘Askol’ style as used in some of the Whirlpools but mounted ‘across’ the back rather than facing the sump, the element is the cylinder style, again similar to that used by Whirlpool.
The front panel is the plastic type like the Diplomat held by 2 screws at the top corners and then unclips from the bottom. The control board is mounted directly behind this panel mounted vertically just clipped top and bottom in front of the element.
Can anybody spread any more light on this one?

ParticipantRe: Interlocks blow PCB’s – why?
Modern Zanussi interlocks (as far as I know?) don’t cause this type of circuit blowing phenomenon, they just don’t work! /quote]
Zanussi machines that have an interlock with the built in opening solenoid have a tendency to short and blow tracks out on the PCB so not exclusive to hotpoint!

ParticipantRe: Bernstein Group Integrated Dishwasher!!
I think parts should be available from Caremark on 0870 750 2435 but before contacting them try spares@ukwhitegoods or visit the online shop at http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk

Bryan wrote:combi dish/clothes washer , that should keep us busy .
BryanA (ex) Whirlpool Engineer went to a washing machine that was very noisy to find the customer was washing baby bottles in it!
Maybe there is a market for one!

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint WF840P Sticks on wash
I checked the machine for earth faults as a matter of routine so I guess it’s going to be module and eeprom.
Before I go down this route I will get customer to run the machine empty as suggested.
Thanks,
Keith.
