    Re: ERROR CODE LIST

Has anybody put together a collated version of the error code forum?

It would be handy if this was sorted into Manufacturer/appliance type order and put into a document that can be printed and kept up to date as new additions are made to the forum.

If you ‘print topic’ it looks as if each page creates about 7 printed pages so all 5 pages of error codes will span over 35 pages.

    run a mile.

This is probably going to be the best option.

The property is a fair way out of the area I would usually work (isn’t it always the way). The area behind the machine is quite damp so is more likely to have caused a board fault. If I quote to replace the board I don’t think they are likely to have it repaired anyway.

    Thanks for the advise,

    Keith.

P.S. Just noticed the spell checker wants to change the name of Indesit to infest 🙂

    Good point!

Is there an OPN for the ARM 20. I have looked at a couple of suppliers but the reference ARM 20 doesn’t come up.

The machine is an integrated Washer/Dryer.

The relay may actually cause the safety to trip……

Not seen this myself but I can see it makes sense, same as stopping the machine mid cycle!

It looks like I’ll be fitting a start relay.

    Thanks for the help guys,
    Keith.

My understanding is you are OK to replace sockets and add additional sockets/switches/light fittings.

The restriction is you can not add a new ‘circuit’.

    Re: Hotpoint WF240P Flashing Prewash

Is it easy to identify which triac drives the hot valve and what sort of a job is it to replace on this board?

Will the triac be marked making identification for purchasing an equivilent from a supplier like Maplin?

    Re: Hotpoint WF240P Flashing Prewash

Both sides of the cold valve are working, when on a hot wash the machine pre fills for about a minute on the cold valve then sits and waits for what i presume is a hot fill but nothing happens until after several minutes the prewash light flashes.

I have swapped the supply round on the valves to prove all the valves work when they get a feed but I don’t seem to get any supply to hot valve connector.

Yes, removed the hose from the tub and had a clean out, it wasn’t too bad.

Yes Chris it is, I have since found out this short hose comes with the ‘riser tube’ and can not be purchased separately.

    Thanks for the help,

    Keith.

Re: Washing Machines v’s Laminate Flooring

If someone has laminate flooring it is a good idea to recommend an appliance tray http://www.birbek.com/mall/productpage.cfm/Birbek/APPTRAY/77313
This will not solve the problem if the laminate does not run under the machine but this can save problems should you have a small leak or the floor slopes back so you wouldn’t see the leak before a great deal of damage is done.
One customer said an insurance company wouldn’t entertain a claim for damage unless these are fitted.

That sounds like the tube that runs up the back to the top spray arm, I think i need the hose that connects this tube to the tubular element.

    Re: Baumatic BHWD12H/C Sump Hose

    Thanks Andy,
I have managed to get an alternative number for the sump assembly including pressure chamber, it’s a lot dearer but I have to get this sorted out so have ordered.
    Thanks for the help,
    Keith.
