ParticipantRe: WTE6920GB/01 fascia removal
Thanks for the diagram Gegsy;
Are you referring to removing the fascia panel (350925) or complete fascia. I need to remove the whole (356893) assy so do I still ‘ease’ up and out to remove?
Thanks.

ParticipantRe: Smeg DI612C E2
I wondered about the pressure switch but having never had a faulty one from new and only having had to replace about 4 in 20years I didn’t think it likley, but there again we should always expect the unexpected!
Thanks,
Keith.

Thanks Dave,
Is this likely to have damaged the outer tub when it came out?

ParticipantRe: Public Information
I have to admit, there is a certain amount of irony about this site.
In one area we are telling the general public how to repair machines, in another we are discussing the fact we have only had 5 calls all week.
I have had calls where Joe Public asks outright how to fit something. I just ask them if they would like to book a call.
One thing this thread has made me think about, and that is ‘how much vetting is done before a member is accepted as trade’.
I have noticed some threads in the trade area that create doubt.I accept the reasoning behind giving the public advise, but once they obtain access to the trade area it not only affects our pockets it also affects the reputation of the trade generally and can be dangerous for the individual as well as the customer they are ‘practising their newly found skill on!

ParticipantRe: Bosch WFT2800 Wets Clothes as it “Dries”!
Something else you can try:
Put the machine on to dry and monitor the water draining following penguin’s guide as to what the pump should be doing,
The valve should allow approximately 1 pint per minute to enter the machine as part of the drying process. By the same token, you should hear the drain pump pulsing once every minute or so
Does the machine stop draining for a logger period that above?
Does the inside of the door glass have water running down it after about 15 minutes?

JM wrote:There’s about 3mm of travel on the LEFT brush
If there is only 3mm sticking out of the brush holder it goes back to what the other posts are saying……..’Brushes’.
New brushes will have about 20mm protruding from the holder when new.
If you have checked and cleaned them this may have brought the brush down enough to get the motor to run again but only for a short time and probably intermittently.

ParticipantRe: web site
If setting up a web page, one of the most popular applications for this is Dream Weaver.
If you want a free tool take a look at Nvu http://www.nvu.com This is open-source therefor free and also has a support forum at http://forum.nvudev.org/. I would look into this first.
Front-page is OK but a lot of designers don’t like it because the the way it generates code.If you are looking at getting a domain name I find 123reg.com and http://order.1and1.co.uk are very reasonable and wont catch you when you try to renew the domain name after a couple of years or move it to another company (something to look out for). There hosting prices are reasonable. I have set up a site for someone with 123reg, they also have a search engine promotion tool included.
For hosting consider either your own ISP, the two options above or take a look at http://www.portland.co.uk/ they offer free hosting, no adds, pop-ups or catches.

ParticipantRe: Bosch Dishwasher not draining
Fitted a new control module and voila the drain pump works.
Call from customer about 2 hours later……. The machine isn’t heating, stuck on a wash since I have left and not hot.

ParticipantRe: Bosch Dishwasher not draining
Anti-flood switch supplies power direct to the pump, bypassing the electronics. Therefore…. Electronics.
That was the way I saw it but wanted to make sure I hadn’t missed something.
Thanks.
