    Re: Supplier of hobs.

Found CRM Distribution sell a solid plate hob for £55 + vat.
To repair a hob costs 14+vat for the controls, £ 10 for the solid plates.
To buy the plates and controls from suppliers it works out about £110.
It’s much cheaper to buy a new hob and strip it down for the parts!

Re: Candy Frost free – Was over icing up now stopped cooling

    Thanks for the reply’s.
I have fixed about 10 of these fridges so far, all without any comebacks.
There is a common fault on these PCB’s that cause the PCB to stop working.
when they go faulty the relay is designed to keep the compressor running continuous (saving the frozen food).
The customers PCB was faulty as when you power up the compressor should run for about 5 secs then stop for 5mins, this PCB just ran the compressor continuous.
What confused me is that after changing the PCB compressor was running but evap was not getting cold, even after 20 mins of running.

    Re: Baumatic Single fan oven

    Thanks for the help.
I rang cust this morning and after using the oven last night the neon has gone out.
Only she is now saying that the cooling fan stops imediately after switching the oven off. before it would run for a while after switching off.
Do they use a TOC, PCB or is the customer going doolally?

PS – She used the fan oven for the first time,’It’s great it cooks so much quicker, the chicken nuggets were nice and crispy’.

    Re: Electrolux built in oven

Sack it off and fit a 75c N/O TOC, much cheaper, more reliable.

    Re: Bosch Fridge freezer – KGV3105 – fridge/freezer warm

    Hello,

Plug the fridge in and it cools down to temp, stops and defrosts.
the compressor does not start back up after defrost – 24hrs.
If you switch power off and back on compressor kicks back in.

Re: Zanussi Frost free – ZX55/4W – Fridge warm after 1 month

    Thanks for the advice.
What does ice on bottom of evap or snow on top of the evap signal?

Re: Zanussi Frost free – ZX55/4W – Fridge warm after 1 month

The snow lay all around, thick and crisp and even.
    All over the evap.
What do the three types tell you?
