more than likely a fluff build up in the condenser, quite tricky to remove on these sealed tank machines but i have removed many of them, cleaned out all the fluff and works fine (for another few months!)

Re: help! dealing with a possible rogue merloni engineer…

at indesit nothing is written off or ber, the engineer has probably cleared it as a completed call and told your customer that the retailer will exchange i when i was at merloni we were told nothing gets exchanged and nothing is ber. i have repaired a pile of s*** indesit machine where i was told to replace inner/outer tank, bearing backplate, heater, dispenser, pump, door and the cabinet. all i was left was a wiring harness. the engineers have to phone `field support` to try to get exchanges but 99.9 times out of 100 it gets rejected

ok thanks-i have written it off now but handy to know if i get another beko t/d with the belt snapped it will need new drum, belt and front seal-does not seem worth it as cost of new drum will be too much

have you checked the motor brushes, if they wear out then the door will lock but nothing else happens

cockroaches very common in some parts of north london, if they have roaches then usually the module/pcb attracts them and then-module goes faulty

you need to put the bearings into the casting first then the drum will slide into the bearings

Re: indesit D63 diverter valve on cycle pump

the valve is only energised when half load is selected-it just stops water getting to top spray arm (1/2 load)
a new top spray arm might cure it

also the statesman mxw10052 seems remarkably similar, the pulley bolts become loose as well.

    Re: Hotpoint WML520

i have answered this a few times before on various wml washing machines, it is a design fault and even replacing every dispenser related part will not cure it, i used to work for hotpoint/indesit and nobody could cure this annoying leak. If i get calls for these leaking dispensers, i refer them back to hotpoint as you cannot earn any money on them (recall after recall after recall) let hotpoint try-they still will fail!

    Re: Hotpoint WD440G door lock

isolate power to machine, take lid off and if you put your hand down where door lock is you can flick it open by pushing the door catch over.
