    i used to work for hotpoint/indesit and yes it is a common fault that you will struggle to cure, they leak from the dispenser area, changing disp may cure for a while but it is the design-as you say not very repair friendly

    whirlpool 481913488089 should fit hotpoint c00015910 or qualtex qualp04 also.

    had it on a siemens and it was the flow meter, same machine different brand

    i have had this fault also, it was the timer. the thermostats only need changing if the capacitor goes and then there is still power to heater but the motor does not turn and so overheats and blows stat

    yes you can fit the alternative motor,just remove the solenoid-it is secured by a push on metal fixing, have done it many times on hotpoint/indesit dishwashers

    pc50gw is the model, this is secured from the side and the door needs to be stripped down to replace it-what a pain!

    on water testing found stainless steel liner had a pin hole so it was leaking into the base, i have now stripped it of the useable components, the motors on these sell for £140 so now have it for any other smeg dishwashers

    i know what your saying but the coupling needs to have a stop about 15mm into it so the fitting from cooker end tightens on to it with the washer provided otherwise you are relying on the nut part of the fitting to seal gas tight-not ideal and in my opinion not safe

    can be the module, if it has burnt out then the heater may have blown it. otherwise may be display board
