    Re: Elektro-Helios DI830-3 won’t fill

Info suggests it was made in 1993, Fault looks like the pressure switch part no 50279510007 which requires extensive modification both mechanical and electrical, would suggest you call in an expert to repair this.

    Hope this helps

For what it’s worth, the latest machines seem to be made without the “minimum iron” programme ( the old 4/50 washtub symbol).

Mentioned previously in another thread, my mother’s Hoover AC327 finally conked out. The module attached to the timer had a burnt-out component. The motor commutator didn’t look too great either, so my mum bought a Bosch Exxcel WFX 2868 (if I remember correctly!).

This model has no 50 degree programme of any kind, which I also found strange. It must be something to do with cost-cutting.

Could that mean that the belt has broken? Or could it be that the motor is knackered completely? Its not spinning at all at any stage of a cycle.

A phyical look is worth it ❗

Not pulling the damn thing out till I find out what the error means

Appoligies in the first instance, ‘ref no pulling it out’ I suppose one of the dreaded fears on anyone in the white goods trade is some kitchen fitters looks a nice instalation to some of these guys, but no thought likewise if the appliance fails, you got someone out to check this fault, they may charge for time (time=money) or you could pull the appliance out yourself and take a peek.

    Power off first :zap:

Re: What’s happened to the 50 degree washes?

Please Come back HLCC Home Laundry consultive Commitee , the Manufacturers of Washing machines met with Garment manufactures to set up wash standards, remember the wool mark etc, now they were the days when we had 9 wash programs and we as engineers knew what a mahine should be doing on each setting prewash, hot fill, cold fill, mixed fill , length of wash, normal & delicate wash action.
Remember customer with old servis washers buying new SUK ones, getting in-guarantee calls to expain that program 5 was now a rinse & spin and that was why their clothes we still dirty. :lesson:

    ohh Happy days.
