    Hi Seamy,

Thanks for your reply. I’ve done all that, and the pump runs and pumps up to the drawer. There are no blockages. I’ll have to give it another coat of looking at.

Thank you Aqua. I did check the plug and it was ok, so I have ordered a thermistor.

Yes, I did that. I removed a large lump of lint from around the door mounted thermistor, and touch wood it seems to be working. It’s been 6 days now, and no call back, so fingers crossed. Thanks for asking the question though. Steve.

Re: Miele dishwasher water level low Model G579SC

Have been to several of these. When the machine fills and starts to heat, top the level up with water and see if it heats ok. If it does, it is the fill valve (double) not opening properly. Very expensive if you go down the Miele route. I remove the double valve, and replace with a single valve, you have to fit spade connectors to the existing wiring, and remove the bracket from the new valve, also you need to fit a fill hose between the new valve and the tap. It all fits well and at a fraction of the cost. The bonus is that if the appliance is integrated, you don’t usually have to remove it. My number is 07971 117127 if you would like to discuss. Steve.

I’m sure you are correct. I’ve told them to opt for a new one. Thank you for your help.

    Hi Martin,
What you say would appear to be the case I think, though I am not sure what you mean by the water point device. On the top of the heater, there is what I assume to be a thermostat/thermistor which is in two parts. One side is a normally closed stat that goes to one side of the heater. This checks out ok. The other side is what I assumed to be a restoration stat/thermistor. Is this what you call the water point device? I have done all the live testing which is quite simple on this one, as the live and neutral supply to the heater are both switched through the module. I have checked the first module that I fitted, and it looks as if it has burnt out a triac, it was smelling and has an overheat mark on the cover. This bears out your theory. The second new module appears to be ok as far as burning any components out goes. It sounds like it is the end of the road for this one I think. Either that or a new heater, but experience tells me that is not the way to go.

    Re: Bosch SGS43C12GB/15 Dishwasher

Have done all the checks three times now. Heater ok, heater stat ok. No problem with fill, lots of water. The problem is definitely no supply from module. The question is, can anything externally affect the supply from the module? I’m pretty sure that is not the case, but can’t be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. I am beginning to suspect that dodgy modules are possible, but in all my years in this game, I have never known it, and everything is telling me it can’t be that. Is it a case of fixing it with a new one? Not a road I ever like to go down, but I feel I have gone as far as I can with this one, and it is getting rather expensive. Any more suggestions please?
    Cheers
    Steve

    Re: Bosch Exxcel SGS43A18GB/42.

Is it one of those with the big double sized tank on the side? If so, it is probably the floatchamber that is blocked. It doesn’t take a lot to cause the problem. Once cleaned out, it will have to go through a wash to regain its memory, then the correctv times will be displayed again. I’ve had a few of these, and on the last two I have left the black insert that fits into the pressure chamber out all together. It is to do with the auto water detection side of it, but my two customers have not complained, so it might be the way to go. Hope this is useful. Steve.
