    Re: miele tumble dryer

Not sure of this model, but all miele TD’s I’ve come across have one or two screws top left behind removable panel. Sometimes a screw bottom left, but usually just a spring clip.

Re: split cab zanussis door seal replacement.

I use a piece of 2 x 1 about 18 inches long. Once door seal is on, wedge the wood into the left hand side of the door aperture, and against the door seal pushing the drum over to the right. Spring has to be over the bit of wood first. Holding the wood with your leg you can ease the spring around. Door has to come off to do this, 10 mins and its done.

Hi, Yeah, sure about the led’s. I didn’t think there was a display window, or I would have noticed it, so I rang the customer who has confirmed that there is no window.

Thanks for the replies lads. Doesn’t sound too promising does it? lol. Yes, I tried the manual activation of the door interlock, but still no good. Thanks anyway, I will have to strip it and see what I can find.

I test capacitors by charging them up with a metrohm. Connect and watch the needle drop back as it charges. It’s a pretty good indicator, and it’s the way we were told to do it when I was at hotpoint.

I had a real awkward one of these. It turned out to be a piece of one of the kids toys shorting the heater. But the fault didn’t show up on the mega, only under load. Unlikely, I know but worth a look.

You could try swapping the boards if you could wangle it, just to see the result? I know it’s not the done thing, but I’ve been where you are, and it’s not nice.

I realise you will probably have checked this, but a seized pump causes all sorts of problems on these machines. I had one recently just the same with a good old bra wire stopping it.

Thanks guys. Yes I have checked all hoses, and no apparent blockages, nor any sign of mouse activity. Customer says not under guarantee. I have arranged to go back for another dabble. Cheers
