Re: Bosch WFF2001. Replace drum bearings.

Beware. If the machine is a little smelly or even if not the drum`s spider ( I`m not talking about the external red coloured cast iron one you see but the one internally) may be on the verge of failure due to the age of the machine; it is aluminium alloy which rots as all washing machine spiders can and do rot including Miele. If you check on the Bosch site, from memory, that part is obsolete. Just a point nothing more.
Yep, I just checked the spider and drum are obsolete. Probably still worth a go at replacing the bearings because it is so easy to do unlike their more recent creations which are a pain in the *rse because the machines are compomised and so ill thought out.
Your machine was one if not the last easy to work on series before everything, other than some washer dryers which most weren`t really Bosches in anycase, went plastic less than fantastic tanks.

Re: What can I do with a stock of washing machines motors?

Looks like the same motors that were fitted to the Spanish made 1980`s Newpol and possibly San Giorgio machines. I wired one to power a belt driven lathe at tumble speed and then a fast speed with a rheostat to slow/fast control so they do have some use.

    Re: Bush TDV6W bearing questions

Yes I know this is an ancient post but these are becoming common tumble dryers.

The rear bearing is a ball race bearing and that is what has probably failed.
The front drum play is the support which needs replacing.
The point is that this machine is Chinese and it is either the same as a Logik LVD6W13 or the larger drum LVD7W15. Anyone getting a spares problem should go to Partmaster where all the wiring diagrams, hand book, a copy of the technical service booklet with colour photo`s and in a rather shakey English translation from Chinese, and all the parts breakdown part numbers and very reasonable spares`prices are down loadable from their site in loving detail. It`s the sort of information Bosch and Miele owners can only dream about and they`re paying a little bit more than 150 quid for their contraptions and all fair play to Curry`s and Midea for doing so.

Re: Logik Washing Machine l612wm15 fault

Doesn`t spin. Does it pump the water out? It has to pump the water out before it will spin + being a Vestel made Turkish machine rather than the L712wm13 which is Chinese ( a triumph of post revolutionary Moaist thinking at a160 quid ) if the load is heavy but small it probably won`t spin even if it has pumped the water out as it`ll sense that the load is out of balance; drum goes round but never picks up enthusiasm to spin. If none of these then it looks as though its broken which is fairly rare at this age. Let us know.

Ah so! No your wrong that is not a bodge if it works for years which it does and better than spending 30 odd+ quid on one suspension leg.So in other words if a wire breaks you change to whole wire and not cut back to re-tag?. So since everyone does this rather than change the whole wire your calling 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the repair trade bodgers then are you not? Seriously though thanks for up loading the suspension photo`s by the way very useful. Cheers.

That`s not a bodge and I take great offence. You`ve obviously had too much Ribenna when you wrote that nasty little comment Martin, naughty Martin!

Cute! No I didn`t, never done one I usually repair the originals: dismantle and use 4mm or 5mm greased chiropody felt- works a treat. Would`ve thought you`d have known this Martin as you answer most other questions.

Miele can be done but they don’t go that often- but when they do it`ll cost you plenty!
some Bosch machine ( you can check here http://shop.bshappliancecare.com/ if you have the Enr of the machine you can get a breakdown and see if it splits

“LG can also be done” as can Samsung. And the cheaper machines too don`t forget the delights of Swan, Bush, Chinese Russell Hobbs, Chinese Hisense, Chinese made Curry`s Logik, Turkish Curry`s Essentials too.

Re: Miele Prestige plus not draining/sudsy spin

Doesn`t this machine have a ball in the sump hose where it joins to the tank or the problem/blockage is at t`other end where it joins to the filter housing? If so that maybe where the problem lies. Sounds as though you are running the machine on a soft water supply? If so and since the machine doesn`t seem to pump out properly this will cause any froth to be worse. The box at the top should be an anti syphon unit. Just sounds to me to be a simple blockage somewhere within the system

If and when you`ve checked all the components and are now pulling your hair out in frustration I`d cut off the moulded plug and redo a new one then try it. I had a Bush only last week and that was the plug taking out zee trip.
500 units, I hope they`re all Bush- simple machines that you can change the drum bearings if caught early enough whether it be the Turkish or the Chinese made ones, most are Turkish.

Motor`s com segments have shorted- one or more segments are raised. motor scrap I`m afraid. Another triumph from Bosch….you know it makes sense!

1)”WHAT???? not totalshambles but certainly totalrubbish.

2)Checking a pcb board ‘by eye’ will only reveal obviously blown components but will not reveal any internal component failure, especially eeprom faults.

3)It is not ‘impossible to check a used pcb’, EMW for one do it all the time.

1)Ha Ha very original. Totalshambles is an inverted p*ss take on the appliance trade which as we all know is not difficult to do and so your right ” Totalrubbish” kinda sums it up.
    2) which is what I alluded to if you reread instead of jumping on your high horse.
    3) I think where this person got the pcb was from a parts recycle company off E-bay ( where any disaster is conceivable ) in other words a breakers, the same place where I bought a second hand pcb as tested by an engineer- my pcb was faulty but at least it was faulty in a different way to the original which kind of proved I was on the right tracks though somewhat confusingly. I wasn`t really surprised because they`re just basically taken off scrappers and visually checked over then sold on and in this context I`m spot on. As for EMW never used them so no comment but I have used QER in Cumbria with all the fancy test equipment, which a breakers wouldn`t have and even you would have to agree on that point.I concede I have a pretty weak point on this occasion so I think your right, which is rare, and I`m wrong or maybe I`m right afterall and being too hard on myself, don`t know, don`t really give a monkies to be honest but my Electrolux pcboard went backwards and forwards to Cumbria 3 times until they managed to finally sort out the poxy thing and fair play to them for having the patience because I was losing mine so it makes me wonder whether it`s all a little bit hit and miss or putting it another way: it`s a bit like a wee wee in a force 8 gale i.e. your just never 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} know how things are going to turn out! Does it make you wonder that too oh wise one?
