He`s bought a new oven instead and I can`t say I blame him as a new one costs £175 with free delivery and a reasonable warranty.

Re: Panasonic NA-168VX3 error code H57

Hi. So your machine comes up with H57 fault code What follows is a bit of a guess.. Yes your right this means there is a current problem but it is very abstract why this happens.Since this model is a belt drive with an inverter motor which I doubt itself is at fault it is possible it is the pcboard- pray that it isn`t! What I would do first despite sounding laughable is to make sure that the drum turns by hand as Panasonics ( although their hardly alone ) suffer from premature worn out/siezed drum bearings or stuff jamming the drum=motor won`t go round=current sensor malfunction=fault code, It could also be something jamming the outlet pump or the outlet pump is worn and jammed once again it draws current but does nothing. If your very lucky it can be a belt problem=size j6 1155mm length and if you think it is at fault/stretched but can`t get the correct belt use a j5 1158mm Hotpoint WMA series belt which will be 3mm longer which won`t matter and be very much cheaper. Failing this, and I`m no expert on this model, it may be the pcb but buy, if u have to, at your own gamble. Hopefully its under the warranty. let us all know the out come please. Best of luck

Re: bosch WAQ series washing machine

Current Bosch model series as of 27/05/2016 with sealed tanks or otherwise.
Models beginning with WAW,WAYH,WAQ,WAT, all have sealed tanks.
Models beginning with WAE, WAN are the only 2 series that you can change the drum bearings. However I was unable to find the parts break down for the WIS built-in machines so they are an unknown.

    Re: leaking dishwasher

    Hi. E/lux model DX6451.
First possible leak can be from the ventilation grill nut which is that grey plastic large threaded thing inside the machine on the lefthand side. Another favorite on these things is the top wash blades water conveyor pipe which is on the r/h/side at the back of the machine and can be seen with the panel removed-this hose/plastic pipe can leak either at the top or where it joins to the heater tube. Another favorite because I had another one 2 weeks ago is a pin prick sized hole in the s/steel tank which could be anywhere but the common place where they mess up is where the filter`s plate sits in to its tank recess- not obvious and the black tar stuff underneath can give you the impression the hole is in that area if tested with the front of the machine lower panel removed but the water has come via the hole 6 or so inches away having travelled between the tar and s/s tank. Typical d/washer, bloody pain to work on. B of Luck.

Re: Zanussi 1480w: Skips cycle to 3 minutes

Simon I presume you have a ZWD1480W? A washer dryer?
Can be three things ( actually it can be several more! ) and usually they`re fairly abstract causes such as it is the dryer element to earth which doesn`t take out a trip switch but it temporarily messes-up the pcb by back feeding through neutral, 2nd possibility is the tacho magnet comes loose and tends to push out the tacho coil out of its housing; the tacho coil can be found at the back of the motor and thirdly the wash heating element is either to earth or one wire has fallen off-this 3rd one is not that likely. Very rarely is it ever the pcboard that causes this fault.

    Re: Bearings. C510WM13

    Oh well, bad luck.
I found the info!! For anyone else this model is made by Haier ( i.e. Chinese and not Turkish ) as is C510wm12 model. I found the bearing oil seal and its part number is: 0020300441 ( Haier part number ) which is the same for C510wm12 too. Oil seal size is 35x56x10/11.5 . Best place to buy spares for these machines is Ebay and preferably from clearance firms but you have to sometimes do a bit of detective work on the X referencing because as pointed out some Curry`s essentials are Haier made from China and some are Vestel made from Turkey in the same way as Bush are. Hope this helps someone in the future

    Re: Bearings. C510WM13

Hi. Ref your Curry`s CS10WM13 washing machine.
Bearings should be 6204 and 6205 which are very common sizes for low spin speed Chinese or Turkish made machines, The problem, as such, is the oil seal IF it is size 30×51.5/52×10 it is the same bearings as a Hotpoint 95 or wm series and you should be able to pick up a set for well below a tenner. However the oil seal could be a 35x56x10/11.5 in which case you`ll have to either order from a bearing/seal factor OR order via Curry`s partmaster part number 2054117pm at £4.44 plus rip off postage which will cost more than the seal I should think, but you don`t have to buy the bearings from them but as a job lot you might as well and you might want the tank seal too and therefore pay for one lot of postage making it worthwhile.
All this is only worth the effort so long as the inner bigger bearing didn`t go in to shrapnel mode and b*gger up the spider bearings oil seal hub.
Yes I know this stuff is cheap but that`s part of the fun and seeing how long you can keep the stuff going for.
Most Turkish Vestel or Midea Chinese machines you can dismantle and they do use common size bearings.
Best of luck with your machine.

    Re: Bosch was28466gb/01 heater failure

Yes I know Dave but the bearings were starting to go too so she called it a day. This machine had heavy use so she feels she got her monies worth out of the contraption. The 30 secs until the t/fuse inbuilt within the heater was a bit of a guess because I should think it would be a lot quicker than that, say, 10 secs. Thx for the reply good to hear from you.

Re: indesit iwc6165 door latch won’t release

There are several versions of this machine and you have to read off the proper full number off the sticky label usually near the door seal.
If it has a brush motor your brushes might be worn out and if so this is the cause.

To add. If you go on Ebayuk washing machine spares and type in Vestel you also get a whole host of parts come up.

The pcboards usually start with 207………and can be inexpensive so all is not lost.

    Re: Bush a127qb

Most Bush are Turkish if your serial number is very long and begins with 0065 it`ll be Turkish.Yes I thing your correct, does sound like pcb has failed. Question is why? You`ll have to visually look at the pcb to see if anything blown and if a track has it`ll be a pretty good indication that another component caused it which you`ll have to also suss before you go and buy a new pcb- look for armature fault, suppressor blown, door interlock short. Charles Hyde and son near York do a great many Bush spares including pcboards phone them up armed with all the info you can gleen, model, serial, pcb numbers. Most Bush pcb are circ 70 quid though some are as low as 30 quid. Ebay might also be another bet but make sure the pcb numbers are the same because many of these boards look the same but are not. Partmaster Connect is your last resort as those guys are expensive. Bit of bad luck isn`t it? Still on the bright side at least it isn`t a Miele or a Bosch, Hotpoint out of warranty- and yes they go wrong too and big time with it..

Re: John Lewis washing machine problem, advice needed please

An ordinary multimeter will tell you that the element has continuity as pointed out-a circuit between each heater terminal tag, as pointed out with the machine heater wires pulled off the tags ) if set on 1k setting or lesser setting (x10 )you get the resistance of the element if set on a continuity buzzer reading you`ll get nothing-be careful! If the element has gone to earth ( which does not always mean the trip, far from it- let alone a 13amp fuse will go ) the meter is of limited use depending upon how bad is bad in other words just because one of the meter to heater terminals and the other is to the heater`s earth tag and the needle or digits do nothing does not mean that the element is ok, however if you do get a reading of some sort, which does/can happen in reality, you`ll know that the element is at least suspect and this is easier to judge with an anologue meter. To do a proper test you`ll need a 500v mega tester to show up an earth fault properly if you can borrow one borrow one otherwise take the gamble and get the correct pattern element and see what happens. Elements going to earth is increasingly common due to the low energy saving water levels on the wash programme-it might save you a bit of electricity usage ( actually it is peanuts ) but zaps the elements prematurely which taking the cost of the element V pitiful energy saving is pointless but then most EU/brit gov`t directives are pretty pointless /useless.
