Iv’e got exactly the same problem as the person above I have identified a stockist of the thermostats there are two types though the
GTS1344 & GTS1377 I am not sure which one is on my cooker???

My post code is M40 1NN any engineers do this area If so how much will it cost to replace barring in mind i’m strapped for cash thats why I need to replace the stat rather than buy a new cooker.

    Re: dishwater problems (Bosch)

Thanks – I’ve checked by filing with added water and it doesn’t seem to be pumping out at alll – how do I get to the pump to check it? The impeller seems to be ok and I have taken out acnd checked the non-return valve.

    Re: Bosch Dishwasher not draining

Just wanted to post a thank you to this forum and in particular anyone who posted on this thread. I found it through google as my Bosch dishwasher had this problem, I read everything and got busy last night…

Firstly, I checked the waste pipes for blockages (I found the flexi hose from the dishwasher was transparent enough for a torch to shine through it) and removed the U bend at the sink end and cleaned it out. Normal sludge, nothing major.

Then I bailed out the water (a day or two old with bits in… yuk!) removed the food guard at the bottom of the dishwasher, and located the pump cover. One posidrive screwdriver bit later had it removed. Pump imepllor fine although a peppercorn had got stuck in that area.

Finally tried the non return valve, that little rubber flap. Came out with finger tips not pliers (strong nails of mine) and as the backwash entered the pump area, I found the culprit… a little white plastic screw cover about the same diameter as the valve flap had been stuck behind it! Must have been from my white kitchen units, dropped down the sink, got washed into the dishwasher soil pipe somehow and then worked its way down to the lowest point… the non-return valve.

Cycled the machine and it worked perfectly. Nice and shiny floor to it again, rather than waterlogged.

    Thanks again, everyone.

    😀

    Hi Martin,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I would say the sound is like a 50Hz mains transformer and I don’t hear any water going down the drain. I’m going to try a few things and will let you know what happens.

    Cheers,

    Dave.

There are 5 lights indicating the number of programs then the power button along the right hand side of the top of the door. The first light is solid being the rinse program, this is the one it jumps to after closing the door after selecting any other program. The power button is the one that is flashing and i tired counting the flashes but it seems to be a constant flahing, i counted over 30, is this normal?

    Thanks for you continued help.

Re: blomberg 1301ABB dead after controller/interlock replace

Unfortunately, the door isn’t locked after the click, and I transferred the wires one at a trime with the old unit and the new unit in front of me, so I can *guarantee* that they are in the same positions. I’ll recheck the seating on the board, and try dismounting the interlock to check voltages etc. when I get home from work tonight.

Re: Zanussi Condenser TC 470 not drying

Interesting. I don’t think my machine suffers from the catapulting fan belt symptom. Instead it squeaks maddeningly – sometimes it varies depending on whether it is reversing or not. Anyway, for the last several months mine hasn’t squeaked or dropped off(touchwood) despite an average usage of twice a day. Over the years I have replaced each of these:

    Plastic Fan
Jockey Wheel and added 1/4″ spring to replace plastic spacer.
    Rear bearing (twice)
Main belt (at least 3 times).

Now the green fan belts have given me trouble – they get distorted and increase the squeaking. The last fix I did was to go back to the old black one which seems more rubbery than plasticy so perhaps less likely to melt. I also used a scriber to scratch lines on the two plastic pulleys, to increase the friction. This fix seems to have done it.
That said – I did come very close to trying out the electric fan solution, and since I do like the machine if it failed again I would still consider it – thanks to everyone, particularly daverob for posting.

Re: blomberg 1301ABB dead after controller/interlock replace

    HI,

Checked the connectors and tightened up one, but still no joy. One thing I hadn’t noticed before ( kids make a lot of noise ) is that after switching on, a second or two later there’s a very faint click from down in the interlock area. Howver, no door light, no fill, no spin, nothing.

Any further thoughts, as the wife is showing all the signs of an impulse buy in the next day or so …

    Cheers,
    Eamonn

    Re: Hotpoint TDC60 (changed thermostats)

I have popped back on the forum just to post a reply really for someone to learn who is in my situation with their dryer, as you have read i had changed the thermostats and this hadnt been successful and after your reply that this may be another issue and could be expensive i called hotpoint out, the day before they were due i put the old thermostats back on and noticed that the active light had gone off it was no longer lit but it still was cold air coming out so left it for engineer to look at. When he came he changed the thermostats and it is working!! god knows what happened they were changed correctly when i did them so im baffled and £90 lighter so a reference to any one else maybe try them twice i wished i had..
